Padron 1926 #6 Maddie with a few glasses of Morris Liqueur Tawny Port.
Very nice too I might add :D

That sounds quite delicious.

I took the day off and already enjoyed a couple brews over lunch and now am contemplating what smoke to go with this afternoon. I know I'll have another this evening while I watch the NBA Celtics/Pistons game so I'm trying to plan accordingly. :D

Okay <after a few minutes of gazing in my humi> I decided to lite up a cigar that I haven't had in a while - Litto Gomez Lucitano. I'm not sure what I'll do this evening, but I have a feeling perhaps a Tat might be calling my name.

I smoked a Cohiba Robusto last night. I have found these cigars to be excellently constructed and quite tasty even if they are a bit overpriced.

Pete

Fuente 858 Maduro. I think this had some nice age on it, and it was very good.

This morning: Camacho 10th Anniversary... its was OK
This evening: AF Don Carlos robusto.... it was very nice

In the early PM, an ITC 10th Anniversary - it was reasonably good but with some construction problems...I am starting to doubt Rocky Patel. Not a bad cigar but certainly not a great cigar.

In the late PM, a San Luis Rey Reserve Especial. I will be adding San Luis Rey to my 'never buy' list. I think I smoked air. I think the band on this stick could have been replaced with a band that simply says CIGAR like the old generic stuff used to look. I was far less than impressed. The construction was decent but the rest of the experience was utterly pointless: Taste - 0, Smoke - Minimal, Burn - slow. Unless someone tells me otherwise, I will black list this brand along with some others on my list.

In the last week I smoked:

1 Padilla Signature 1932 Robusto -this was amazing. One of the few times that a blend in robusto was more appealing then the lancero.

3 Ashton San Cristobal Clasico. This is my new go to cigar if I have time. Most say these are young. This box arrived and has been in the humi only a couple of months. I love this cigar!

To celebrate my 11th wedding anniversary, I had a Padron 1926 # 1 Maduro. It was excellent!

I had a 601 red Robusto to start a very busy day.

I carried a Holts Connoissuer Toro with me to town, and snuck in about 15-20 minutes on it. I have found these to be more than a little inconsistent, with either good or tight rolls. If the flavor is on, it isn't really a bad smoke, with some nice nutmeg/touch of cinnamon sort of flavor. If they're off, green and a little bitter.
It's really trying to be a good cigar. Same goes for the Old Henry

Got home about 10:00 p.m, and lit up a Casa Fuente Corona Gorda that was gifted to me by a very fine BOTL, and member of CP. This was a very nice, superbly balanced, cigar.

Smoked my first Anejo Shark ever today...very nice smoke. It was from the 07 release and I could see how a few years could turn these into superb smokes. I'll be aging the other few I have.

I also smoked a CAO Brazilia Lambada and it was a decent smoke. Nothing like the Shark though. :)

Thurs HDM Regalo mild to medium woody-very nice for an LE
Fri Mag 46 from 06??-it was OK
Sat MC#4 from 05-very on!
Today Who knows but may be a non-C for a change :)

A tubed Forbidden X all I can say is WOW. This was gifted to me by a very generous FOG here. It will be hard to find something to top this cigar. Just on a side note it was sunny and in the 80's the whole time I smoked it and 5 minutes after I was done the clouds rolled in and we had a huge thunderstorm LOL!!!

Best Regards
Don
