What did you smoke today

Ashton VSG Enchantment

Bleh... ick... sulphur?...

I was hoping to have a nice cigar to start off a long day of college football.

This cigar was a nice gift from a kind BOTL, and the others I received from this generous brother have been great to excellent, this was unlike ANY vsg I've ever enjoyed in the past. Dog poo hidden inside a SG wrapper? By far the worst cigar this year, maybe 2

What to break out now to make up for this awful dissapointment?...
Huh? I have not had one bad VSG. I have found them consistent and good smokes, all vitola's. Something happened to that stick. Maybe it was dog poo, what were you drinking?

Yesterday, coincidently, I smoked a VSG Illusion in the morning while preparing to leave and come home...excellent
and last night, when I got home, I smoked a CM5 Genios...great smoke.

Yesterday at De la Concha with Carps I smoked...
PLPC - good/very good
SLR A - good
H.Upmann #2 - flat/decent

-Rob

Yesterday I had a PSD4, Aneho #50 from last year, LFD Ligero Torp. Should have had the Anejo last, it kind of masked the flavor of the Torp. I also didn't realize the strengh of the PSD4, I though it would have been more mild then it was.

Friday:

Padilla 1932 lancero - really good cigar, one of the few small ring guage cigars I've liked

Carlos Torano Noventa Latin - good medium bodied cigar, although they retail for too much and I should have smoked it before the 1932 as it wasn't as strong>

Today:

Still to be determined

I agree, I've never had a bad VSG either. They have never failed to deliver, but maybe this thing got dry at one point, or it was an experiment that somehow made it in with the VSG's, or, like all cigars, the very best and the very worst of any cigar in a line can sit right next to each other in the same box.

As far as beverage, I had coffee, the same that I always have with my morning smokes, and have never had an issue. The only time I go away from the coffee and grab water is when a cigar hints at having something special, and I don't want to mask anything is has to offer.

This morning, I hear a cabiguan beli calling my name from the cabinet.

Finally got the time to sit down and smoke, scratch that I'm lying. I really only got to smoke while hangin x=mas lights but loved it. I smoked a A.F. Hemmingway signature, great cool weather cigar I will be buying a box of these. Next I smoked a Don Pepin blue label. Good cigar but by that time I was freezin my arse off and didn't get the whole effect.

Next smoke tonight, gonna light up a woam and watch the cinnci game

Happy Holidays brothers!

Yesterday.

Punch Churchill 1998
Woam 2007
H. Uphman Sir Winston 2003

Thanks for a great time Greg. It was nice of you and Christie to make the trip.

I spent the afternoon at a Lawrence cigar shop (Centro Cigars). While watching the KU basketball game, I enjoyed a WOAM from 2006 and an Oliva Serie V Lancero.

A coronas especial from the Cohiba seleccion box - it was OK...I mean just OK.

An '06 Dip #4 - it was really, really good.

How was the Sir Winnie...that, my friend, is a classic smoke!

Ashton Majesty....it was quite tasty, it has a different blend than the rest of the classic line

Today was a JL#1 from '07. Yesterday I had a SLR DC from '06, a Partagas D#4 from '05, and a WOAM.

Smokin a Tatuaje Petite right now.
I jhave no idea why this little smoke isn't talked about more.
I am a quarter of the way in and totally blown away.
This is a smoke I picked up yesterday at a B and M.
WOW!

Rob - the Angeles is a GREAT SMOKE!

Tonight, I had a small partagas (PC?(not a short)), a Trini Reyes(plugged- ugh) and a PSD3 EL. (the later seems to be just coming back around)

Padilla 1932 lancero - really good cigar, one of the few small ring guage cigars I've liked
Great smoke, I love all 1932's, especially lanceros.

Tonight I'm enjoying a La Aroma De Cuba Toro as I'm watching the movie 300. Not a cigar that will blow you away, but a pretty darn good cigar for the money.

The other night I had my first ever Fuente Opus XXX Power Ranger and but was it great. It came in my package as part of my first newbie trade. I had never seen or heard of the cigar before. So like a geek I went on line and did all the research on the cigar before I smoked. I really did not realize there were so many Fuente’s on the market. At any rate this was a GREAT little cigar and a great introduction into this group.

Today I smoked my first Padilla 1932, robusto I think, excellent cigar. This evening I had a Torano 1959 Exodus, pretty good smoke especially for the price.

Saturday herfing with jfields:

Upmann Corona Jr. cc. First cigar of the day. Tastey when they are drawing OK. and this one was

At Jfields B&M

Cohiba Maduro Robusto (thanks John)-It was Excellent. Not as strong as I thought it would be yet very flavorful.

Don Carlos Anniversary 2007. I have to say for a $40 cigar I was let down. Maybe too young.

Patagas P-2 CC. Aug 06. Very Nice.

Back at JF's place
Upmann Sir Winston 2003. Nice cigar. I got really tired and put it down half way. I was sad I had too.

Thanks John for being such a great host!
