The "Golden Ratio" I've seen and use is 18:1. 18 parts water to one part coffee by weight.

Hmmm, I've been using 16:1, might have to try 18:1.

Do you come down to SD often to pick up Bird Rock beans? Or are they distributing outside of SD now?

I use to do French press, pour over, and chemex, but I think after having our second kid, we just use the Nespresso everyday. Will splurge on Phil’s once in a while. Today had a pod of the Cuban cafecito (my favorite and I swear I can taste tobacco in this espresso).

I’m at 10:1, but I like my beans with a coarse grind, and my coffee strong...
