What coffee did you drink today?

The same as everyday - Starbucks French Roast, ground coarse at home and made with a French press. I know it's not exotic but I like strong black coffee and it does the trick. I am very open to recommendations though!

We took a trip to Hawaii about 10 years ago, and my wife wanted to spend a day touring the coffee farms in the Kona region. The area they grow Kona coffee is surprisingly small. After visiting a dozen farms, we both settled on Greenwell Farms. We loved the coffee and really loved the way in which they treated their crew that harvested their crop. We've been getting monthly shipments from them ever since, and my coffee cup rarely contains anything else.

Sounds like my taste profile. Try Killer Beans Brazillian Bombshell and see what you think. Send Jerry an email and he will hook you up. Jerry is one of the nicest guys on the planet; tell him you're a CP member and he will probably only charge you 2X....?

What is y’all’s ratio of coffee grinds to water? Follow up question- what grind is best for a drip coffee maker?

I do 8tbs beans to 32oz water.
Works out to about 40g of beans.

Drip grind is medium - med coarse.
Try different grinds to see which gives you the brightest flavor.

It was okay, rather fruity. This was only my third time using my new Chemex set up so I'm experimenting with the correct ratios and grind sizes. I think I need to grind a bit finer with less water so I'll report back tomorrow.
