What coffee did you drink today?

Starbucks. Can you guys point me in the direction of great coffee? Have you guys had any Cuban coffee??
 
I rotate between a local roaster and beans I buy from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Today's brew was a medium roast called Lucky Jack from Groundworks Coffee, who are local to LA. During the week I always French press my coffee, but on the weekends I use my drip coffeemaker.

That’s what I basically responded with when asked today. My impression of Cuban Coffee is that it’s always been a few months since it was roasted before it reaches us the consumer. I would love to get ahold of some Cuban green coffee beans that I could roast myself and brew fresh.
 
I think I’m just going to keep getting my Starbucks Nitro Brew and Ice Coffee. I don’t need a new hobby o_O

You can drink (fairly affordably) the absolute best coffee in the world.
And, if you plan it right, in just five years, you could be smoking the best cigars in the world.
This is a great combination.
 
I completely understand if I get totally roasted for this, but I have got my staff trained in slow brew coffee (because they know I like it that way) using this coffee. That and its the only slow brew that my wife has preferred thus far. Let me know, though, if I am way off course, but I am able to reimburse it through the company and it's not half bad for a morning brew.

Ethiopian Guji, city roast, in my French press.

From a local coffee shop, and the owner absolutely knows and loves all things coffee and tea. Any time I walk in and he's there, he has a ton of recommendations and can talk coffee all day.
 
Back in the day, I had a Boatswain's mate who took over the coffee duties on the ward I was working on. Don't ask me why; that's what they do. Every morning at 0'dark thirty he'd get up, put on his robe and rush to the mess hall to get some fresh egg shells. He'd come back to the ward, fill a large pot with water, add coffee, salt and the egg shells, a magic spell or two and then percolate. Now my taste has become more refined over the years, but I sure do miss his coffee.

50 cent ice brew from "on the Run" cause he Cards scored more than 6 runs. Pretty good though.

I miss things like this as nasty as they sound in writing.
I will also never forget a certain Gunny Freeman wanting to kick my ass for doing what I thought was a favor to him. I felt his coffe cup was nasty/moldy and in need of a good scrubbing. Turned out he thought it was “well seasoned” and he was mad as hell that I decided to give it a good scrub.

I made the innocent mistake of thinking he was seriously joking and laughed in his face. Took four other enlisted Marines to pull him off of me.
He was all jacked up and didn’t mess around! I’m sure he would have made short work of me and sent me on the fast track to sick bay!

Hard as I tried to win him over, I was on his shit list the entire time I was at MCAS Jacksonville. ?

Working my way through a bunch of different Kenyan beans (sweetmarias.com) in my Behmor roaster. Got a really nice peaberry we've been drinking for the past couple of weeks. After a dozen or so years of roasting my own, Kenyan beans have become the family favorite.
