Stone Cali-Belgie, Green Flash West Coast IPA, Smuttynose Imprial Stout

this past weekend while in Mexico, took along a few beers.
Had a NN (thanks Philly Mike). I also had a Bayern Dopplebock (thanks Justin). Plus a Youngs Double Chocolate Stout

Smoked a WOAM with my dopplebock, very nice compliment. That was an excellent beer!

Smoked a Partagas Serie D #4 with the Youngs ... excellent!

Had my first FBS and I hate you guys who have this readily available

Had some pizza at Old C's and washed it down with a 5 Barrel Pale, Hazed and Infused and a Youngs Double Chocolate.

I've gotten multiples of the same PM from the blackberry, but this is a first as far as I know!

Growler of Blackfoot Single Malt IPA tonight.

Three Philosophers..... What a blast of cherry! I wasn't expecting that at all. It was very good but maybe a little too sweet. My wife even liked it so I know something was wrong!

Just poured this and so far really good. Thanks Mick.

1L My Cafe Bustelo Stout
12oz NN
12oz Mad River Serious Madness
12oz Caldera IPA

Next on the menu..

I made the mistake of forgetting about several of these from last year. They are drinkable but nothing like their fresh counterparts. I wont make that mistake again...

went to pizza port today and had my bloody valentine .... =)

In an effort to avoid aging any other fantastic IPA's, I decided to knock this one off next. Its a tough job but somebody's gotta do it!

It really is a joy for me to see that. I hope you're in town someday, we'll head into NE and get some on tap.

Is the coffee bender a regular release beer or is that a seasonal/limited release?

That's a pretty good question. It's now an 'as regular as can possibly be regular' release. Because of how they run it through a press of coffee, they can only do so much at a time. I think we're quite lucky to have it available in cans at all.

You know, the beer that Surly makes that is really some kind of freakish drink for the Gods is Tea-Bagged Furious. They add the hops differently (I"m not a brewer) and the result is a creamy Furious with an orgasmic finish. They release it by the cask in typical Surly style, which is you never know where it's going to be or when. I can, with comfort and ease, say that Tea-Bagged is my favorite beer. For the guys in the Twin Cities, you can get updates on where Surly is releasing their special stuff on Twitter.

One other thing. Surly is producing a British-style mild called 'Mild'. A very good beer. My guess is that is the next beer they will try to can. For NewCastle lovers... well, you try this beer and you will probably never want another NewCastle again. :)

Thanks Tim.

In fact, I think its because of you that I've had the pleasure of Bender and Coffee Bender (thru Cali Mike).
