Right now I'm having a Sweet Water 420 and next in line is gonna be a Anchor Merry Christmas.

Drank some Pliny The Elder. Read an about.com article on how IPA's pair well with cigars. Was amazed at how well they worked together.

Seriously? Well, I guess it doesn't surprise me that much. I've always wondered how something as bold as red wine could go well with a cigar. Still, many good IPAs have characteristics of pine and grapefruit; and most all of them have a bitter finish.

I don't get it, but you never know. There are people who drink coffee with their fish, I suppose.

I gotta agree with Mick on this one. While hoppy beers are my favorite styles, they do not pair well with a cigar due to the inherent bitterness. I much prefer something malty and sweet, YMMV.

Over the weekend. I had:

Bell's HopSlam
Founders Double Trouble
Goose Island Bourban County Stout

Coffee Bender with an Anejo... Coffee Bender with a WOAM... Now that could work. :)

I have yet to drink a beer today but last night I enjoyed a couple Three Floyds Gumballheads. I highly recommend this beer. Really enjoyable.

This is what I put down last night.

Had me a 3floyds Gumballhead and it was quenching. Really nice brew, thanks Tim

Had my first Flying Dog Garde Dog. Pretty nice beer. Too bad I was able to have a smoke with it. Oh well, next time.

Cheers
Mike

Sierra Nevada Torpedo :(

This is a perfect example of why I used to think I didn't like hoppy beers! (that and evolving tastes of course)

SN fails more than they should. They have a few good beers but overall they bore me.

Last night I had a 2009 Nugget Nectar and holy shit what a great beer!

After that I had a bottle of the newly released Espresso Oak Aged Yeti. It was great.

Had some Abita Amber last night. This beer isn't special for any reason but a good goto, and good for the environment.

Your phone takes better pics than my camera. :(

Disregard the text I just sent.

I bought this one over the weekend. I'm digging it, but how many different takes on Pale Ale and IPA are they going to do?
The fresh hop beers, the anniversaries, ESB, etc. The Torpedo is pretty similar to Celebration, which is a good thing I guess.
I had a couple of these and a Bigfoot watching the Oscars last night. I got my RDA of hops!
