Vikings 2008

Panthers?

What league do they play in?

No, really gotta wait to see what Chili decides to do at QB.

How about which team kicks the most field goals? We might stand a chance then.

Childress has already said Jackson is starting this weekend. After that though.....

Where did you hear that Jackson was named the starter?

I haven't heard this.

From an AP clip I read on my betting site

"Coach Brad Childress has been steadfast in his support of Tarvaris Jackson since he was drafted in 2006 and said after the Colts game that Jackson is "definitely our quarterback next week."

Doesn't mean he can't change his mind though.

If Jackson starts I've gotta pass. I have no faith in him and neither does the coaching staff by the look of offensive play selection.

Sounds like Chili is leaving himself an out.

He has to change QBs. If he goes 0-3 with Jackson, he's done. I'm not thinking that would be a bad thing, though. :whistling:

Chilly is a poor excuse for a coach. He's had 3 years to find a good QB and it still looks like the search isn't over.

Yeah, I don't understand it. 3 points for homefield advantage, but the Panthers get Steve Smith back playing on turf. How good is the Panther run defense?

They held Tomlinson to 97 yards in game 1 and Forte to 92 in game 2. But you know they'll stack the box against Peterson because of the lack of respect for the Vikings passing game.

So, which one of you Minnesota lovers wants to put up a premium fiver against my Panthers this weekend?
Vikings are laying 3 1/2 at home....if someone takes it, tease it 10...your 5 sticks to Jonesy's 2

That's an idea, but if I tease the Vikes(a 7 pointer) this would give me the Vikes plus 3 1/2. :whistling:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Nope, still not going to do it.

He must have read my post:

Frerotte in at QB

:sign:
...and listened to local sports radio, and watched ESPN, and read the Star-Tribune, and listened to the guy at the bar, and heard from TheWife©, and...

I'm not saying it's a bad decision, but it makes a coach look pretty weak when he keeps saying "so and so is our guy" up until public opinion forces his hand to make the switch. It makes me wonder just who the heck is making decisions down in Eden Prairie. Childress is toast. If Frerotte doesn't work out, he'll be gone before the end of October.

Interesting...the line hasn't moved from -3 1/2 since they made Frerotte the starting QB.

Amazing things(a win at home vs. 2-0 opponent) happen when you start a QB that is NFL quality. :whistling:

Hope TJack doesn't get splinters the rest of the year.
