USC LOSES to UCLA!

Florida and South Carolina are my two favorites in the SEC ...

Then you should be real happy for the raise and extension Spurrier got over the weekend!!

Spurrier

Word got out he was "flirting" with Alabama after they fired Shula, and next thing you know .... new deal!!

Not too bad for a coach who's 14 - 10 over the past two seasons!! :whistling:

I think he's living off his "glory days" at The University of Florida, but who am I to argue with the powers that be at South Carolina, it's their money!!

I was very happy to see that SOS will stay in Charleston. He may be 14-10 but he's only been there two years and South Carolina is not in the upper end of the SEC......yet. ;) I think he's exceeded expectations so far, USC beat Florida last year and ALMOST beat them this year AND they defeated their arch rival Clemson AT Clemson this year. :0

Watch for USC to become a top team in the SEC in the near future.

Oh and as I said a while back, Florida WILL play Ohio State for the National Championship. ;)

Is USC changing conferences? Why the hell didn't anyone tell me???

I hope you meant Columbia!! :D I don't think the College of Charleston, The Citadel, or Charleston Southern, for that matter, have that kind of budget!

DOH! Please forgive my stupidity....

USC = "University of South Carolina" which is a perfectly acceptable was to refer to that school which is in COLUMBIA, South Carolina (dammit) :D

As a Boise State fan, I'm just excited that we are in a bigger bowl! Go Broncos!

Gee, thanks for your "contribution"......

No prob, CC... a "pleasure" communicating with you, as always. :whistling:

No doubt Boise would beat FLA - I think Ohio St. / FLA game will be one of the worst games this bowl season. Although I am not giving 28 points, I do believe that is how many Ohio St. will win by. I will put a premium 5'r up on Ohio St. FLA gets whatever the line is at game time. - Any FLA fans want to lose some sticks? LMK

Actually, if you say USC in South Carolina, you can only be referring to The University of South Carolina. The "other" USC is simply called Southern Cal., here. ;)

CC, by no means did I mean to infer anything other than I would give you an A+ in spelling, and a B- in geography, because you got the state correct!!

edited for spelling!!

LMFAO!! Nah, I'd give me an "F" for stupidity.

BTW what bowl is UConn in? :D

It was good that Florida got into the MNC, I don't think anyone was surprised. The bowl matchups are ok except for the ND BCS selection. How they got into another BCS bowl is beyond me. I know they were next in line after a few teams got passed up, but they beat only one good team this year and got blown out by every other good team they played. When was the last time they won a bowl game? LSU should stomp em.

They've lost their last 8 bowl appearances, but with the huge following that LSU has, and the large amount of Roman Catholics in that area, it didn't surprise me. Got to remember, it's not who deserves to be there, but how many tickets will be sold, and that matchup will sell out the Superdome!!

I just wonder how much the LSU fans are getting for their Rose Bowl tickets? I read they purchased over 37,000 of them in an attempt to sway the bowl's selection committee!!

And people say us Buckeye fans are crazy!!

UCONN SUCKS and has no business even thinking they can compete in Division IA football. These clowns all got stars in their eyes and wood in their pants when our basketball program became a success in the 1990s and now they think they can play football with the big boys.

Their sleazy schedule over the last few years allowed them to actually have a winning season (6-5) either last year or the year before (who knows, who cares, I can't remember....) which got them into one of those loser bowls. This year though, reality is setting in now that they have to play a REAL IA schedule and sure enough, they finished their pitiful season at 4-8 (1-6 in the Big East which is a joke of a football conference). They really should have been 3-9 but they got lucky against Pitt in overtime by successfully completing a two point conversion. I was hoping they'd blow it. :D

Well, there's what you'd like to see and what's really fair which are two different things, aren't they? :D

So okay, if Michigan and Ohio State face each other in the Fiesta Bowl for some alledged "National Championship" and Michigan wins, they will BOTH be 12-1 AND if Florida wins their bowl game, they'll be 13-1.

NOW, who is the "National Champion?" Based on records, one would have to conclude Florida.

You watch, when the BCS "rankings" come out in a couple of days, Florida will be #2 and Michigan can go to the Rose Bowl and lose to USC.

Who said that?
