Unhappy Thread

She's still short of breath , and chest is still tight, on the plus side she did eat and drink and it stayed down.

I can't work remote, so I am off today and Friday. If negative on Friday I can go back Sunday
Gotcha. Well seems like she is on the mend. Fingers crossed that continues and that you yourself stay negative.

My brother and his wife had it right after thanksgiving. Had the loss of taste and that kind of thing I guess too. But it didn’t take too long for them to get over it.

Without starting a 45 page thread on medicines and fake news, Nate you should message Aaron @TexasTraveler for that list of things his doctor recommended.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Nate. Hoping for a seedy recovery for her.

Again I am no doctor, but seems like a doctor worth their salt would have at least gave her an inhaler or something, to help with her shortness of breath. But again what do I know?

Let's get some good thoughts going for my brother @jfields and his parents. John let me know that they were hit by a freak storm. 14" of snow, no power, and treacherous road conditions. He said it was 47 degrees in his parents house last night and they had to send his mom off to a relative and his dad was struggling, John had to take his dad out to the truck to warm up. John being the marine he is, is finding ways to help he and his dad cope until power comes back. Cell phone towers are out of service and he comically stated that the only place to get food was Popeyes Chicken with a line at the drive through 1/4 mile long.

He just texted me while I was typing this and said he got a propane heater and had the house up to 53 degrees and he is rediscovering those paper things called books!:)

Hang in there John. You guys got clobbered pretty good and clean up is always a bitch. Warm thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Prayers going out to everyone on the east coast. I can't imagine what it would be like stranded on I-95 in a ice storm in 2030 and every car has to be electric.

Very sorry to hear this @jfields. Hope everything gets fixed soon!!!

I know John will be okay and I know he will make sure his folks are okay. I had to laugh at the thought of John eating Popeyes Chicken!:)

I make the best meal I can and he nearly throws up trying to get it down. And then he abuses me because I don't all the tools and spices he needs to make a gourmet meal at my cabin.

But the good thing is ...... he comes back!

Lol! The only place to get junk food was Popeyes yesterday. The idea was to warm my pops up and get pizza as a bonus. That normal 45 minute trip for food turned into four hours due to the roads still sucking and the lack of options. I was really shocked the roads were still so bad. Trees down everywhere due to it being such a heavy wet snow. My mom was already at her sisters visiting. They didn’t get hit too badly and never lost power. Hoping it will be back on soon, or I’m going to be grilling a lot of steak and elk meat soon.
