So, we lost some siding, soffits and facia, and the corner of the roof is lifted. The garage wall has been moved out, but still sorta on the foundation.

Six trees and four utility poles on or near my property snapped, and many others very damaged. We have (since Saturday) cut and removed 16 trees. The gas station 500 yards up the street looks totaled. Tractor trailers in the back lot were tossed.

BUT, today we have power and blue skies. I'm taking the day off from cleanup stuff. :-)

P.S. I never realized how much I missed HOT WATER !

Isla Mujeres Natibeach. It’s a small island off of Cancun. 20,000+- year round residents. It’s our 2nd stay in a 2 bedroom condo. Big grocery store a short taxi away helps us stay in for most breakfasts and lunch’s, by design. Very affordable (IMO) and the north beach is very child friendly. If I wanted to eat steak, chicken or burgers all week I could have but savoring the local flavors is a big reason we go anywhere.

Sorry for blowing you off @jfields ……too many margaritas

UGH!

Went to a Cowboy Action Shooting match in South Carolina and had a TON of fun!

BUT, somewhere (on the way home yesterday) between the AirBnB in Anderson, SC and Blairsville GA, my tailgate fell and I lost a big ammo crate and my travel cooler, dangit! Probably $1K worth of stuff in that ammo can.

At least the guns and gun cart stayed put…

Something is not working right with the wireless hand controls for my car; the handheld part is not turning back on after charging over night (it shows fully charged). Wife was already gone this morning, so I had no way to get to work. Hopefully it unfucks itself before tomorrow morning, as I cannot find anything online about it. I can call the installer tomorrow, but they won't know any more than I do, and will have to call the supplier on the mainland and wait for a tech to call them back. It's an inconvenience, as I still have my wife's car I can drive (and she can take my daughter's car to work), so it's just a First World Amp Problem, for sure. I'm just complaining...
