Today's Smoke 2022

Sister of the Wind. This is the squarest cigar I’ve ever smoked. This isn’t a mild box press. These corners are sharp and severe!

Interesting think about these guys is that they think a puro is a sacrilege. In their opinion what makes a great cigar is a blend of tobaccos from different regions of the world. To me this cigar was in the top 10 I smoked last year.

Really curious what your thought are

The oils are glistening beautifully in the sun on this bad boy. Is being a beautiful monster an oxymoron ? 😉. Now that I think about it a huge portion of monsters are beautiful. Elvira, mermaids, sirens, maybe even Medusa. But never thought beauty would come to mind when I am looking at a Frankenstein

I took Ben’s virginity with one of those monsters. @modo22 😉 He’s never returned my calls since.

Interesting concept. Once I figured out how to smoke the thing, I quite enjoyed it (@Thoughts advice on how to properly fit one's mouth around objects of varying shape and size just wasn't working for me with this one...). I can't really peg the profile to anything else that comes to mind, but I got cedar, black pepper, and leather out of it, from what really stood out. It had more "darker" notes, and I didn't find it very naturally sweet at all. It held at a solid medium strength most of the way through, but with about an inch and a half left it was like a switch was flipped. It wasn't a gradual creep; one draw was what I had gotten to know, and the next draw was, "This thing will knock you on your ass if you don't respect it!".

Thanks for including this one, Dan.

Dan, is that the redux? Hows it smoking?

LOL, yes you did! I still remember that PM and alot of us have gotten this advice at some point when we joined, you were "my first" CP member to reach out and say "hey, some guys are Aholes but hang around and learn" Then sent me a frank++ and I still remember when and where I smoked that! Was amazing at that time!!! However, Smoked my last OR frank in the last year or so and it was not the same. Kind of like you John, add too much age and you go all soft ;);)

I noticed this little hole after I lit it up — it is prominent enough that it affects the air flow on draw and purge. If it is a beetle hole, it is the only indication I can discern after a careful inspection of the cigar. Oh well. I hear they pop when they combust…

Wouldn't hurt to have some of this around just for these situations. You could just fill the hole and smoke it...

That's not a beetle hole, that's a pilot hole for a seegar nubber.
