Today's Smoke 2017

Well, it was good while it lasted. The laranja split when I got to the second third of it and it was difficult to keep lit after that. The flavor was good, the construction not so much

HDM Petite Robusto 2015, this is the best one from the box so far. It is the 15th one I've smoked out of the box and the rest were not very good frankly.
They've never impressed me. That said, most of the short 50 and up ring cigars don't. In my experience, they seem to take a while to develop and finally start getting decent at the nub.

Enjoying a couple of sticks in the garage while I work - love days like this! Started with a Trinidad Coloniales, followed by a Hoyo de Monterrey Añejado Hermosos No. 4. Not sure what'll be next, just as it should be :)

Smoked my first, and generously gifted, Cuban Quintero today. (Favoritos - 4.5" x 50 (115 x 20 mm) aka Concha No. 2, a Robusto)
Looks like they are short filler, handmade, and fairly economical. Not bad at all. Had that short filler profile, but better tasting than I remember Piedras tasting.
I liked it enough to try some other sizes.

Not a fan of the Partagas... but let me tell you I enjoyed the Bolivar more than anything I have ever smoked.

When it comes to ISOM's, Bolivar and Partagas have always been my "Go To's". I am surprised you liked one and hated the other.

Well let's not say I hated it lol but definitely identified with the Bolivar more. Could have been the time of day I smoked them too. (Post breakfast; post lunch)

For $59 per box on sale last month, these PL panatelas are just awesome. A slightly tight draw here and there, but lots of flavor in these little sticks.
