The PCS Pass

Joe,

Since this is on the road, when it gets to you could you please reconcile the contents to the list in the first post of this thread, please? Pepe listed that his take included teh Anejo which he numbered as #40. However, by my list it should have been #39. The numbering is wrong somewhere and I would like to fix the list. I don't know if it is just Rob's or everything past that point.
Also, another update on the rh would be great. No idea why there's been so much trouble with this box. Maybe I got some defective beads or something.

Thanks very much

Unless someone has some objections with my selection I will be sending the box off to Joe in Longwood FL Monday. Thanks for letting me join in.

Not a problem. I will give the box a good look-see when it lands (should be today).

IMO the problem with the RH is caused by the fact that the plastic box used to store the cigars does not make a good seal.

I put all new cigars into the freezer for 3 days minimum to make sure I don't introduce beetles into my humidor. I just took them out of the freezer and put them into the fridge to warm up. The Anejo is definitely marked #40.

Box is in town, but still at the PO. Got a note from the postman on Thursday (yesterday)...He wants a signature, so he didn't leave the box. I'm not sure if I can get there today during business hours...my wife will also try. If not today, then tomorrow (Saturday) for sure.

My wife managed to get to the PO during lunch, so the box arrived safely yesterday. I unpacked it, noticed the RH was a little high, so the cigars spent the night in my coolidor (about 65%). I did the full inventory this morning. I found a few things off, which I fixed. In the list below I switched 43 and 44 to match the numbering on the cigars (44 is a box/tubo, the sticker didn't want to peel off, otherwise I would have just switched the cigars in their packages). Same with 50/51...numbers switched in list below to match cigars. Otherwise everything seems fine.

Here is how the box looks now:

1 RyJ Belicoso '05
6 Bolivar No 2 '05
7 J Piedras Cazadores '05
8 Sancho Panza Belicosos '05
10 Graycliff Emerald Pirate
12 Gurkha: Dos Capos
14 AF WOAN
15 AF Anejo 50
21 Perdomo Reserve Cuban Café X
24 Davidoff Demi-Tasse (3)
25 LVH: EY Swords (10)
31 Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Du Roi SUA SEP 00
34 Monte #2 JNL DIC 04
37 Ramon Allones Ultimo
38 RP Sungrown Robusto
40 La Aurora Preferitos(s)Robusto
41 Indian Tabac Limited Reserve
42 VR Famosas
43 PSD 4
44 Trinidad Coloniales
46 AF WOAM
48 Flor De Ybor City Corona Maduro
50 The Griffin's Special Edition XXI
51 CAO Black Mosaic
52 Padron Magnum Mad.
53 Partagas 898
54 Partagas De Luxe
55 Partagas Corona Senior
56 Cohiba Churchill
57 Bolivar No 3

I notice there is no host bag. Did I miss that in the rules? Is there not one for a reason?

I'll go through the cigars, post my P&T's and after I get the thumbs up, this box will be on it's way.

Cheers,
Joe

edits: 50 & 51 were also mis-numbered.

Once approved..I'm a waiting for the package. :D

Proposed P&T's (ISOM for ISOM)

Takes:
1 RyJ Belicoso '05
44 Trinidad Coloniales
46 AF WOAM
50 The Griffin's Special Edition XXI

Puts:
Cohiba Siglo IV
H Upmann Coronas
Pardon 1926 #35 Maduro
AF Feunte Fuente OpusX (Power Ranger)

While I was looking through the box, my wife came out and was watching. Since she owns a box of cigars I offered to let her trade if anything caught her eye. She picked out the AF WOAM (#46) and was willing to trade one of her Padron 26's for it....her first trade!

Well, I was hoping for more options of cigars to pick from. When it lands here, I may just not have any takes so it would end up going out the same day to the next. Will see when it gets here if my mood has changed on any of the sticks thats left over.

If it hasnt been sent to me, pass it to the next person please. I've looked again and there isnt a stick I want. No reason to go through sticks that I do not care for or want.

40 La Aurora Preferitos(s)Robusto

So, this was marked #40 in the pass? Sounds like two sticks were marked 40 and there was no #39. Please confirm, and if so, leave it as is since one is already taken and the La Aurora can finish out as #40.

If you didn't notice, Joe, please skip Loren and ship directly to Nick (Orangeman), as soon as we confirm he is ready to receive the box. I am PMing him tonight as well.

The instructions in the box should have explained this.

So I guess I'm next ;)

Thanks for letting me play. I found a couple of nice sticks and was able to pass along a few as well. Hopefully it's fun for the rest of the folks too.

A couple of housekeeping items. The humidity tube inside the plastic container was very wet and a bit gooey. I bagged it in a cigar ziploc. The weather here (Florida) has been so warm and muggy that the cigars didn't need any extra humidification. Once the packages gets up north, things may change...you can adjust accordingly.

Also, taking Pepe's comments, I wrapped the top the plastic box with a layer of plastic wrap and then put the lid on. This should give the box a more air/humidity tight seal.

I guess that's it...Cheers Everbody!
