The Musical Cheese Pass

Seth, well done. ;) The extra is very nice. :) Wanna tell us something about your music choices?

Bag 'em & tag 'em. This could be a record week for stops. Jim, you are up my bruther!

Ready here gents. In the interests of making good time I'll go ahead and research and post my p/t's tonite, that way they can be approved and I can get it right back out when I get it.

Ok, here they are. This was the most fun/interesting/nervewracking part for me, as this is my first pass. My idea was to improve the pass as I sent it along. Any feedback is welcome.

(P)#103 Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto #4 -(T) #96 Tatuaje Reserva J21

(P)#104 Padilla 1932 Toro -(T) #30 Gurkha Legend Warlord Corona Gordo

(P)#105 El Centurion Gladiadores - (T)#29 Gurkha G5 Avenger

(P)#106 AF Hemingway Siganture - Additional Put - For the pass

Also, I like the sound of Buffalo Mozzarella.

Music wise, Bluseish rock. Are we giving titles?

The only thing I would question is the DCM for the Tat J21

Brian

Pass is on the way to Kentucky, I couldn't get on from work to post. DC# at work, I will post it tomorrow.

Seth

As I see it the J21 is about $10-$12 oer stick and the DC Maximus ranges about the same. Is it actually a toro or a robusto? Anyway my feedback would be that Jim actually loses a bit in this P and T. Just my .02.

Jim

If no one minds that, I'm happy with it.

Brian, On the first P/T the prices I found were DCM #4 @ $10.75 and Tat J21 @ $10.67 using Cigarcyclopedia. If there's another source I should check, lemme know, as I'm learning as I go. :)

If this is ok'd I'll have the pass back out the day after it gets here (or Monday if it gets here Saturday).

My bad! I took the Tat price off the CP Tat pinned reference guide and it had it at $12.00. I looked at Serioscigar.com this morning and they had it at $ 10 and change. Maybe its time to update the pinned pricing list on CP?

I don't think so. The pinned post lists the MSRP of each cigar. These numbers could be useful in some cases as well.

Gents - nicely done, presenting you thoughts and concerns with respect and research. This type of discourse really shows this community works.
James your prep work for moving this pass along is appreciated. If you receive the pass Saturday, please wait till Monday to ship, unless you have a PO that processes Sundays, so it won't sit in a hot warehouse.
Seth - I hope the Bagpipe tracks you included are ones I don't already have! no seriously!
Remember - per the 1st post - these are to be 10 rare, obscure, or otherwise unique tracks. When this finishes we'll have 300+ very cool tracks sure to thrill even the biggest music junkies out there. No Jonesy, that does not mean we all want to share in your live recordings of Justin  Timberlake! :0

Seeing as I can't smoke for the next couple of weeks or more, I'll be posting some Cheese Education & even a contest for the non-participants.

Gosh, between being really busy and the site going wonky, I haven't been able to log on much lately, but it looks like things are going well. Everyone (especially Wilkey) is doing a great job (as always) of ironing out the inevitable wrinkles.

I am really looking forward to getting this pass! I need to spend a little time rummaging through my CDs and mp3s to find some good music to include, though. I suppose I could go get my Mom's CDs; I distinctly remember looking through them for some holiday music around Christmastime and finding a disc of Rosie O'Donnell singing Christmas duets with pop stars. ???

That's it Rob! You know there's no politics around here... you're out! .... :0  ;)

Just yankin the chain. If Rosie is how you want to represent, then OK. Glad you're back on.

Pass has arrived.

Everything is in GREAT shape. A little moisture outside the tupp, condensation from the cool packs, but not enough to worry over I don't think. The sticks are all safe and sound.

Am I good to go ahead with my P/Ts and get it back out Monday?

Yojimbo,

I think your PeezenTeez are getting the thumbs up. Send that baby out!

Remember, exact matches are very difficult to achieve but certainly within $0.25 I'd consider a wash. For differences of $0.50 or a touch more (for a premium sticks pass) you'll want to look for balance over all your Puts and Takes on whole. This is a concession that realizes the difficulty of making exact matches sometimes and not an opportunity to build up a surplus over 4 pairs that can be "cashed in" on the fifth. Fairplay and sportsmanship is the name of the game.
