The Musical Cheese Pass

I agree the puts and takes portion of every pass I have been in allows me too learn much more about cigars than I ever imagined. I love them to be quite frank.

Jim

Both are rare cigars. The Avo 22 Euro edition was limited to a one time production of 2000 cedar lined cylinders back in 2002 only sold in Europe and Asia.

The Small batch #1 was released on 2006, there where 200 boxes of 105 cigars made. They have since made Small batch #2's. If you are going MSRP for MSRP and assuming that both are equally rare then the small batch for the avo 22 would work. Current market value on the Avo 22 is a little higher unless I am mistaken. The last time I saw a cylinder of these for sell they where around $550 for the 22 cigars. The age might also be something to consider in this trade. To me it looks good but as I am no a huge Litto Gomez fan I don't keep up with there market value or true rarity.

The padron 40th imo is not a fair trade for this as it is currently available and not a limited production cigar and falls short on the Rarity but meets the value.

I'm am no expert on the rearity or value of these cigars but based on this info I would have to agree that this looks good to me.

I would not be so sure.....This would be a very hard cigar to find an equal cigar for trade IMHO. Both of the cigars in this instance are rare (with the 22 I think having a slight edge I believe). However, the MSRP is $16.00 for the SB. Let's just put it at $18.00 to $19.00 for arguments sake. I have not seen a canister of the European release 22's go for under $500.00. That puts these around $23.00 a stick. Still off kilter.

Edit for clarification: When I say I think the 22 is slightly rarer, I know that double the amount was made compared to the SB. Just that, basically all of the SB came to the states, compared to the amount of 22's that made it here via internet orders, etc.

I wouldn't put Small Batch 1 in the same league as the AVO 22 (euro or standard) yet. I have seen SB1 on the shelf at msrp in several B&Ms in the last few months and can't remember the last time I saw a legit AVO 22 in a store. Dealing with sticks like that gets tricky because the rarity plays such a role.

Seems that this 22 Euro is a bit more difficult to acquire than I had expected. Kind of reminds of another pass that That I was trying to get an OR tat black :). I managed to come up with that stick, so Let me try this again. Here is my updated P and T-

T= (#121) AVO 22 Euro Canister (P) = (190) Opus X Round to Square.

Hopefully this will do the trick.

Jim :)

Obviously you do want the stick and we'll make this happen. I appreciate your flexabiltiy and patience.
Are you talking about this vitola? ??? (Holy smoke rings Batman!!)
The Original Opus X Round to Square Shape aka: "Prehistoric Shark" may be a bit over the top, but let's see if the rarity factor is way too heavy. Otherwise I'd say that is a more than excellent pick!

I am still stuck on the Canadian Moose

Seth

Obvously you're not the only thing still stuck on the Canadian Moose Knuckle!

Yeah I think that one throws the rarity balance in the other direction

Ok lets try this-

T= (#121) AVO 22 Euro Canister (P) = (190) Jabaro #2

Jim

Now this one you have me overly confused on as I know very little to nothing about the Jabaro..lol

x2 Elucidate us please. :D

Mang, I'm learning all kinds of new stuff here lately. Thanks.

Edited to add: Are these the Jabaro Tatuaje?

Exactly. I think the rarity + cost = an AVO 22 Euro :). This cigar was moderately priced, but is nearly impossible to find now. It was Pete's first cigar I believe.

Jim

Offer to add some cheddar cheese to the package. That should tip the scales in your favor.

Well, that may be a bit over the top. I'd just go with four Kraft Singles (maybe five if you just use American, as they're more common than the other flavors). :sign:

Once again, we're working with cigars that I have no knowledge of, so I'll leave it to those with more experience to make the decision on this one.

Hey Jim - I have a call into Pete for additional info. He did say that those were amoung his first sticks and made by Tropical (not DPG) in two sizes a 5 x 54 and 6 x 52 and made about 15000 of each size. :)

Anybody ever smoke one of these?? ;) :whistling:

Don't worry Bro, we're gonna find a way for the AVO 22 to be with you. :)

I have smoked one and IMHO it is an awesome smoke, but of course I am just one guy (who happens to want this AVO) :).

Jim

After researching the Jabaro I have to say this one is a little short. The rarity isn't quite there nor the price.

Guys because I do not want to hold up the pass any longer I am going to delete the AVO Euro P and T. I am sure I can acquire an AVO 22 Euro somewhere in the future :whistling:. I realize my selfishness has held up the pass a bit and I extend my apology to the participants. I get wrapped up in my own selfishness sometimes. If the other P's and T's look good :) I will put this baby back on the road.

Jim

I wouldn't call it selfishness. You just have a strong desire to try a different cigar. That's what the pass is partially about. As for holding things up, I let the pass sit in my basement for several days because it was too hot to ship over the weekend. I don't think anybody is getting bent out of shape if you have the box for several days while things work out. This pass has been going on for quite some time already.

And that is just my seldom given $0.02.
