The Last Herfer Standing Pass.....

Oh, just a few other thoughts as I finish up with this bird...

1. I took an inventory and everything checks out except for the lid - jeffro ;) Just busting your balls

2. The #6 appears to be slightly unraveling at the foot of the cigar

3. The box (I mean bird) is really showing some wear so take care opening it

4. The Perdomo Inmenso is HUUUUUGE - what's the ring guage on that sucker?

Okay, that's all I've got for now...

Yeah yeah yeah... :p The birdy will be whole once again!

That inmenso is freakin huge...its pretty short, im guessin 4.5-5" and probably at LEAST a 70 ring gauge! :0

Are those reviews accurate, in terms of it's strength?

Ive learned to take reviews from top 25 with a grain of salt...sometimes youll find a good reviewer who will share similar views with you on a particular cigar. Do a search and see what that person thinks of other cigars and youll likely share the same experiences.

I personally have never had an El Original, but i hear they are on the stronger side of things.

The El Originals (islandsmokeshop.com)should be considered full-bodied and somewhat strong. As with any cigar the "strength" lessens over time as the flavors meld. The one in the box is the last from a wheel (that's why it's unbanded) I bought 12/01. I liked these a lot in 2001; liked them less when the "edge" wore off.

Concensus opinion is that the toro maduro is the best of the lot. Personally, I would recommend the corona claro. It's actually a colorado claro, very light natural shade, no green. These had more zip for me.

Jeffro's point is very well taken. Reviews are merely one person's opinion and you know what they say about opinions. You need to look for that same persons review of a cigar you've had. Compare notes and then you'll know how much stock to put in that person's opinion. As for my saying the "edge" has worn off the El Originals, I would say that a JdN Antano is a good morning smoke.

And for the next lucky sucker, be on the lookout for a flat package...about 13"X13"(its the lid for the tupperware container). Should be there within the next couple days so everyone be on the lookout!

Where oh where could the little birdy be on its way too???

All I can say is that the way that the wind has been here for the past few days this little birdie is hopefully having a hard time entering into Oklahoma. :( :whistling: ???

Maybe, Maybe not. That's for the birdie and me to know :whistling:

However, the lucky recipient should find out VERY soon!

the anti pigeon weapons are stratigically placed and the no fly zone is up so stay away little bird fly fly fly far into the sun. :D :D

NO NOT FAIR!

If I close my eyes and claim I never saw the package then I never really recieved it. Right?

Oh well I just got the boxes. The main box looks like it has been stepped-on, sat-on, run-over, smashed, kicked, hosed down, and generally mistreated. Good think I have a box that will do nicely for a replacement.

I will look over the goodies and post my P's & T's. Then I will PM the host and notify of the next unluck person.

- Jason

p.s. - I am accepting bribes to keep "YOU" from being next.

OK here are my proposed P's and T's:

T: #47 HdM Dark Sumatra
P: Carlos Torano Exodus Silver Corona

T: #37 CAO Brazilia Torp
P: Punch Gran Puro Libertad Tubo

T: #55 K. Hansotia X3 Triple Ligero
P: Rocky Patel EDGE Missile Maduro

Please let me know if these are acceptable. I am from California so my MSRP values are out of whack because of the high prices.

Unless there are objections I will make sure this gets in the mail by Saturday.

Melski was kind enough to point out that my P's & T's were a little light. Thanks for the help melski. As I indicated my MSRPs are way out of whack due to the California Tobacco Nazis we have out here. I have given him suggestions for my proposed fix and when I hear back I will post my updated P's & T's.

This should still get out by Saturday. Will the birdie fly short or far . . . Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Lets open the next envelope now. Wait I will be right back.

The seal has been broken and the next person's fate has been sealed . . . uh . . .er . . .unsealed . . . decided.

Oh, in addition to putting everything into a new shipping box I placed some extra single-cigar baggies.

Thanks for letting me participate in this. Although I did not "win" I did get to sample a couple smokes I have never had and it was exciting not knowing when I was going to get the package.

Sorry Jason, I tried to talk the bird out of visiting your humble abode, but the thought of going out to Cali after visiting my podunk town was too much for him to pass on so off he went. ;)

I'll wait for jason to post before I make the changes to the cigar list. Don't know whether he chose option #1 or option #2. Do hope he got it out yesterday. Well, California took it's first hit. Could Pennsylvania be next? We're down to six and two are in that state. I'm not a mathemetician but I wonder what the odds are that those two go back to back.

Hope the holiday hub-bub is not getting to anyone, least of all our beloved pigeon.

Good thing Jason was able to repair the pigeon's wings, 'cause this bird was starting to get crippled. I looked for a new box, but the only thing I had was a bunch of those damn little boxes from cigarbid.com, which only remind me of how much cash I've spent on smokes every time I see them

Good luck to the remaining six of you

What was option #2? All that I have seen were the first choice of P & T :( and I hope he got it out on Saturday as well compared to the number of people left and the time before Chirstmas.
