The Hot Potato Bomb

Ok now that I can get an address and name i'll have this thing out tommorrow.

AAH!!!!! I'VE BEEN HIT! I'VE BEEN HIT!!!!!!
So many different smokes, I've gotta pick out a couple that I want then I'm gonna check out the smoke shop down the street from where I work and see about finding some stuff others would like to try.....! I'll post the tracking number once I get it shipped out!

Okay, back from the B&M with some goodies to swap out, now I've just gotta find someone to attack! Shall be out on Monday

I've been hit!!! I've been hit!!! I should've seen it coming a mile away, but it was disguised so well amongst all of the other cigars in the humidor at the Outlaw!! I have acquired a target and will commence with the bomb run at approximately 1200 hours tomorrow. God have mercy on your souls!

Okay guys.... Things went from chaotic to MORE chaotic. I've got my target's address, was going to drop it off at the post office on my way home from school today, but this morning my Cobra decided it wanted to go off-roading. Tire blew out around a tight turn, and it was either oncoming traffic or the sidewalk/some bushes and trees. I took the sidewalk. Now I've got no car, but hopefully I'll be back in business in the next day or two. Now I guess you all will be interested to know that this "hot potato" was in an off-roading adventure, so the cigars MUST be worth more :p
Sorry for the delay, I'm gonna throw in a few more sticks for the hell of it.

Bummer on the Cobra, speedingpenguin! Glad you are ok though!

In other news...the son of #007 bomb has been dropped!

Holy Smokes!! This was totally unexpected! The Son of #007 hit me off guard!! Thanks for including me SMSU!! I had no idea what to think as I looked through all the tasty looking sticks laying in front of me! What a treat for such a newb! I picked a couple I have been wanting to try, I also put a couple naked ones that were in there in small ziplocks and put them back in the pack. There was one Mayorga (Churchill??) that didn't make the travel from somewhere. It got beaten up pretty badly and has lost a few sections of wrapper. I would say it gets counted as a loss. I pulled that one out to keep it from getting worse and flaking all over the package. I put a few back in that I think were hopefully decent additions.

Son of #007 has a target and will be deployed tomorrow!!

Enjoy the smokes Fuscat! Also, thanks for taking care of the flaky Mayorga. It certainly did not look that bad when I got it. Uh oh, better smoke it!

;) Very cool to be a part of this HPB and a part of the site! This kinda thing really makes it feel like so much more then just an internet forum!! Glad to be included!

Alright, Son of #007 has been deployed! Bombs away!!

Lookout!!!!

I agree Fuscat, stuff like this makes cyber community so real. I think the greatest thing about this forum is you just never know what might show up in the mail, and when! Thanks for letting me be apart of the Hot Potato.

Okay you fockers. :angry2: I go away for a couple of days and come back just to see taters everywhere. :angry2: Some fine BOTL just bombed the sh*t out of my mail box. :0 Thanks AutoBob :D I am going to reload this bitach and get it out in a day or so. I have to run to my B&M to get some humi packs for this thing.

I also need to find some unexspecting focker to launch this to. :p

Son of 007 is back in my possession and I've selected the new VICTIM!

Wow ... these have been really difficult to track. Half the fun is to see where they go next, at least it is for me. Way back a bunch of posts, someone wondered if multiple Hot Potato Bombs were a bad idea, and it definitely seems that the consensus is for the idea that more bombs equals more fun. And I am all for that as well.

I would like to throw out a request that if you post that you were hit, mention where it came from. That will be the easiest way to keep a running tab on these, and it will allow for the mystery to remain, if that is the intent when not posting a DC#.

In any event, I'm glad to see these potatos a flying. Bomb Away!!!

Wow, it’s impressive how many BOTLs these potatoes have visited over the past few months. They’ve traveled all over the country: MN, FL, TX, CA and numerous stops in between!

But with all that traveling, comes stress. :( Changes in humidity, major temperature swings, repeated handling by postal workers and BOTLs… all of these things take a toll on cigars. I’ve spoken with recent holders of the two busiest bombs (Son of 007 and the Marvelous Mystery HPB) and they agree that both potatoes are at or near the end of their life cycle (numerous sticks are cracked, dry, etc.)

So, here’s what I suggest:

We retire the two most well-traveled potatoes: Son of 007 and the MM HPB. The current holders of these two bombs should keep them, in their entirety -- give the cigars a nice home and a well-deserved rest. In place of the two retiring bombs, I will send out two new Hot Potatoes.

As summer approaches, I’d also suggest that we keep a close eye on all of the potatoes that are in circulation. Perhaps we should put them in humi storage for a few months with whatever BOTLs are holding them until summer passes.
