Ladies and gentlemen of the Revolution, after conferring with my senior advisors it seems the time has come to end "The great newbie wars of "05". Make no mistake; this should in no way be considered a surrender nor a declaration of victory. This is merely a cessation of hostilities. As missiles are currently refueling, this gesture towards peace becomes official at the conclusion of current operations. (There is still room for more volunteers for Operation Nuke ‘Em If They Can’t Take A Joke) It’s been a lot of fun selecting targets for you and sending you guys (and gals) into harms way (there's just no way to make that sound right). We Newbies have learned a lot and two or three of us may actually "get it".
The Valiant Newbian Warriors of The Newb World Order have fought with honor, courage, loyalty, and dignity. Ladies and gentlemen I commend you. And though my own mailbox was well protected, others seemed to really take a beating but I could always count on those heroes of the revolution to stand tall and stay the course. Warriors like Swissy, Opusxfiles and NorCal ‘Anejo’ Lover should forever be enshrined in the Newbie Hall of Fame (if there was one, anyway). Thank you my Newbian brothers and sisters. I have been honored to be your "General" but I now look forward to reentering the “private” sector.
We owe a great deal of thanks to the FOG doers of evil; SamClemmons, AVB, Psyktek, Moki, to name but just a few. Gentlemen, you are class. Thank you so very much for your generosity, not just with your cigars but more so with your expertise, your wit, and above all your generous and long suffering patience. I have been honored to be your "adversary".
Let’s also not forget the apprentice Fogs. I found myself rolling on the ground with tears of laughter streaming down my face on a daily basis with the comedy stylings of Grammpy Geezer, aka, ggiese and the world renowned vaudeville duo of Beefcube and BkCloud114. Thanks for the laughs.
When I started this thread I couldn't begin to fathom where it would go. This thing took on a life of its own. Because I enjoyed sending my first bomb so much I simply wanted to encourage other Newbies to get involved but it became, in my own humble opinion something better. To be included with such kind, generous, and thoughtful people is truly a privilege and joy. Thank you all.
