The Douchebag daily jam session 2022

For my daily installment of shit that only I like (except maybe Jeff)...

Joyner's one of the few guys putting out hip hop these days that I actually like.

I actually like all music, which by definition excludes rap.

Rock
Jazz
Motown
Classical
Hip hop

Hip hop can be up-beat entertaining music, rap is mainly angry words set to a synthesizer.

Kind of an over-generalization, wouldn’t you say?
By your definition, Johnny Cash could easily be considered hip hop. Marylin Manson could be considered rap 😉

The rap vs hip hop debate/conversation is so interesting to me because there are so many varying opinions thoughts on it.

My opinion only, definitely far from fact, is that hip hop requires MCs that are actually MCs, i.e. changing rhymes patterns, metaphors, sometimes thought provoking lyrics, etc. Rap by in large is mainstream pop crap.

I know you are well hidden in that hobo Hut, but you should not be smoking dope in it! Unless you invite me!

Johnny Cash, hip-hop? I think AC/DC is closer to the blues than Johnny Cash is too Hip Hop.
