The CP Make-a-Wish PIF Thread

Am I the only one to notice that the format of this thread has changed from mostly MAWPIF posts to delivery notes and confirmations? I'm the noob here, but from what I had seen in the past, all of that info was handled behind the scenes. Just curious if it's just me, because I get an emails about new posts here and I'm coming in to see more chit/chat than MAWPIF's. (*puts on flak jacket)

No, you are 100% right.....

Some chit chat and snappy banter is ok, but I think we need to get back to keeping the logistics of the shipments behind the scenes.

x2. The posting of DC's and such should be handled via PM. IFthere is a problem then it needs to be public matter.

Also, there have been a a few "I think I have you covered" and "I can cover you on if you want" post recently. It is all well and good that fine BOTLs are trying to PIF, but lets make surewe can cover people before we post. This may well mean that you might miss out this round, but there are plenty of chances to play.

Further, these are wishes. If someone puts one up and you have said cigar, you have them covered. One cigar on their list might be a 12 dollar HTF, the other might be 8 dollars and readily available, but it was their wish list so if you got one, your up.

Just to keep things in the open:

I stepped up to grant Jon (JFellows) wish on the 17th of July.
The box was shipped on that following Monday or Tuesday I can not remember what day.
The wife shipped it for me, and has lost the paperwork.

As best that I can tell, the box is not on its way back to me after being mis-delivered to Ohio.

I have been in contact with Jon, and told him that if the box shows up back with me I will exchange the smokes, and still meet his MAW, and resend again.
I will also look into why it was mis delivered in the first place.

Jon, I am truly sorry that this has happened, but I still have you covered.
I would like to wait to see if they end up here, or if they make it to you.
They were packaged in cardboard boxes for safety, and bagged with a water pillow for freshness.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask me.
