The CP Make-a-Wish PIF Thread

Excellent points made in the last few posts! Let me see if I can capsulize some of the more salient ones.

1. Don't offer to grant a wish unless you "really" have a wish in mind, that is, a cigar that you plan to personally enjoy.

2. Everyone gets to play. It isn't a contest. Take turns, be nice. Everybody's watching.

3. If you want to give a specific someone a specific cigar, then get the stick and bomb them mano-a-mano.

4. Let courtesy and forbearance balance enthusiasm. This is about cigars...but it's not really only about cigars. Kinda zen, eh?

I'm in agreement with all of these. I'm also of the mind that it does not need to be written into rules. I'd rather that these spring from the hearts and minds of the members here.

What do you guys think?

Man I am learning alot from this thread, fantastic!! I love to learn even though I sometimes blow s$#% out the side of my neck, I am trying to work on this issue for the common good of the board!! I will simply pass my wish, but to make it fair the person who posts with the answer to this question first and has not had a wish yet gets the wish-

I am thankful to all who have offered feedback! If I am off with this post please let me know :)

Here's all seven..........

Substance is often taken in larger amounts or over longer period than intended

Persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control substance use

A great deal of time is spent in activities necessary to obtain the substance (e.g., visiting multiple doctors or driving long distances), use the substance (e.g., chain smoking), or recover from its effects

Important social, occupational, or recreational activities given up or reduced because of substance abuse

Continued substance use despite knowledge of having a persistent or recurrent psychological, or physical problem that is caused or exacerbated by use of the substance

Tolerance, as defined by either:
need for increased amounts of the substance in order to achieve intoxication or desired effect; or
markedly diminished effect with continued use of the same amount

Withdrawal, as manifested by either:
characteristic withdrawal syndrome for the substance; or
the same (or closely related) substance is taken to relieve or avoid withdrawal symptoms

...... but you keep your wish.
 
Nope I must insist that you take the wish because I am going to be a quiet observer for awhile. amateur the wish is yours, wish away!!

I believe this is our current wish, but there was some controversy, so Jim may want to change this in the next day or so if no one sees fit to fulfill it (I would if I had one (OK two since I've never tried on either)) :sign:
 
I will try this again. I would like a BOTL to send me something in the blind they think I might want to try.

Second thoughts, Ill let anyone send me whatever they so choose, my wishes I cannot justify with the PIF. Suprise me.
