Glad to hear she's going to be ok. That was a close one.
My daughter recently center-punched a guardrail in the rain with her work van (full-size Ford delivery van). She was pretty sore for a couple of days, but that was it. Both her mom and I were thankful she was not seriously hurt and her boss felt the same way. My daughter was complaining about how bad her luck is and how she never gets a break.
I looked her right in the face and said "Imagine that you were going just a bit faster and the last thing you remember is heading straight for the guardrail. The next thing you know, you wake up flat on your back in the street. There isn't anybody there and it is still raining. Right on you. Raining right on your face. You go to raise your arm to block the rain but can't seem to get your arm to move. You try to lift your head but can't. Off in the distance you hear a sirens. And then a helicopter."
She got the point.
Any landing you can walk away from.....
