My oldest daughter Jessica, had a bad wreck late Sunday night, rolled the car. She'll be fine but she is banged up really bad. It happened in the wee hours of the morning. We're still trying to put all the pieces together. We think she was cornering a bend in the freeway and swerved to miss an existing wreck in the road and over-corrected. She hit the wall and rolled it. We think the other wreck had just happened because there were no emergency vehicles present at the time.

This sort of puts it into perspective. The car is a total disaster but Jess came home from the hospital earlier today.

She suffered a slight separation in the collar bone area, a couple of cracked teeth, and a couple of stitches in the lower lip. She's very very sore but still "with it" enough that she can recall virtually everything that happened. She literally walked away from this wreck before the ambulance arrived.

Lucky doesn't even begin to describe it.

Miracle is more like it.

Glad she's ok! Thank God for seat belts and airbags...

Good gosh, Gary, that looks positively horrific. I'm very relieved to hear that your girl made it out with only relatively minor injuries. God bless youth and their resilience.

Glad she is ok.

I remember the same type accident with my sister late one night. Except she was going way too fast on a too curvy road and totaled my mother's car good with a telephone pole.

Glad to hear that your daughter suffered relatively minor injuries considering the extent of the damage. The holidays will be extra special this year!

What kind of car was that? ???

Holy crap, judging from the pics, your daughter is one lucky girl...thanks for sharing.

I got that call! It's great she'll be ok!

I'll never forget that trip to the hospital knowing only it was a head-on collision with nine people hospitalized.

Damn...after a good day at TR this happens. Good thing we didn't keep ya'll out to late. I'm really glad she wasn't seriously hurt and I'm glad she's back home safe and sound. On the bright side, at least it wasn't the Stang....

CHERISH! CHERISH! CHERISH! Hug her and kiss her, tell her how much you love her (which I am sure you already are doing)!

Thank God for her safety! Your family is in our prayers!

Thank God she is ok.

It is amazing that the car took that kind of beating yet she was able to walk away.

Thank God she's ok and from the looks of it it's a good thing that she was driving alone. The hit to the passenger side looks like it would have been more severe.

Thank goodness she is alright.

I've been in a rollover, and it was not fun. Everything slows down, and you think are dreaming. The truck I was in rolled over 3 times that felt like an eternity. It's definitely something you are grateful for that you can walk away from.

It's good to hear your daughter made it through everything relatively alright.

I've been in a rollover, and it was not fun.

The military has roll-over trainers now, because this has become such a big issue (IEDs flipping vehicles or people driving too fast). A full "cockpit" of a HMMWV that can rotate 360 degrees. They flip you over a couple of times, leave you upside down and you have to figure your way out. Not "real" in that it's a lot slower and smoother, but still freaky to be flipping and hanging upside down by your seatbelt.

Thank god she is ok man. Hope her recovery is short and easy for her!
