Tatuaje Monster Smash 2024 Reviews starting with post #32

LOL, sorry "Smokey," life got in the way recently. I hope to get it together by Thursday evening.

....yeah, about that box. I went to order another (IMHO they are that good) and I accidently ordered two. Yeah, accidental......🤣

I've polished off box #1....plowed through it. Really great smokes, really enjoying them. Looking forward to what other folks think.....

Yea, I was two in and ordered a 2nd while smoking the 3rd. There were a few I didn't like at first, so I am glad I can try again....But I am holding off my opinions as I want to see what others think.

I’m not falling for the Pete Johnson hype.
I get this. The 'hype' from any vendor is often just a little more than some of us like. I look at it this way.....my box(s) were roughly $158.00 each. So, for a 14 count box, you're paying roughly $11.30 a stick. Simple question is.....are they worth that to you..?? I was surprised, but my answer is yes. Really dig the Tat profile; these are well rolled, interestingly blended, really great smoking cigars. Unusual, sure. But, at the end of the day you're smoking a wonderful, tasty, unique cigar at a reasonable price. Yeah, I went a little deep but they're really hitting for me. Your mileage may vary....

Frank 10/3/24
Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper (based on Monster Mash)
5.25 X 52
Dry draw and smell - hay, barnyard, mint, cooking spice

First third - nice retro, plenty of smoke, dark cocoa, barnyard, cedar, earth, I’ve retrohaled more than usual. Ash is perfect at an inch.

Second third - getting a dry light minty tea mouth feel, smoke and draw are still excellent. Stopping with the notes and just going to enjoy

Final third - Halfwheel talked about a maple syrup sweetness. I never got that. Solid stick in every way

I would buy a box, wait I already did with the Frank Redux, LOL.

Score 91

I agree with you, this was a great start to the Smash box! I did find it MUCH better than the Mash Frank and I also liked it alot more compared to the Frank Redux.
I had dark cocoa to start with tons of cedar, smoked amazing and finished with sweet chocolate. 88

Mine were originally supposed to arrive today, but tracking shows they just left Chicago this afternoon, so hopefully tomorrow!

Going to have to give them a couple weeks to acclimate, but I had to check them out before pulling out of my parking spot at the post office!

Ecuadorian Maduro Habano Wrapper
5.25 X 52
This review will be interesting since the Drac was one of my favorites in from the Monster Mash and I’ve bought both the Skinny Monsters and the Drac Redux.

Dry Draw: barnyard
First Third: hay, grass, nice draw, plenty of smoke, woody, roasted, several reviewers are saying raisins and spice, but I’m not getting them

Second Third: ash fell, some tunneling, getting a touch of mint, maybe a little anise, enjoying the retro

Final Third: touched up again, in the weird taste column I got some red hots (which I had earlier in the week), so maybe a touch of cinnamon, smoking to the nub, got a little mint, but wonder if I’m reaching.

Overall, nothing negative, but not what I was hoping for based on past experience.

Score: 88

I welcome constructive reviews and appreciate @modo22 for his.
