Something for Everyone

Well, it happened. Myself & Mrs, Kenny, PB, LD and Tommy herfed, hefted glasses, and listened to some great Blues from a local blues band - which featured a GREAT harmonica.

p.s. PB, I owe you one...when I got home last night and was putting the DC to bed in the fridge-a-dor, the first thing I saw was the 'Smoke me' cigar&bag. I had put it in the 'dor and not the pass box.
 
Hmmm, now it ain't gonna do a bunch O' Good in the dor buddy!!

It's cool, I will replace the smoke me bag and try to guess what it was you gifted me last night :D Oh yeah, I still have the Tubo, this is gonna be easier than I first thunk it would :p

We did have a blast last night, if they had dropped the volume just a hair on those Amps, the conversation would have been easier. LD said that is a night that will rest in his Memory Banks as one of the best times. We must do it again some time!!

Sorry to have taken so long to make this post, but I have been where computers were not. Or that is at least WORKING computers, which is why I was there, to get them working.

Ready and waiting. They fixed the water this morning, which is a good thing, because I'm out of depends and between this pass and the Trinis the pee pee dance was just about more than I could bear. PB I look forward to trying your "smoke me" stick; I'm sure that coming from you, it'll be a nice one.

Got the box, getting ready to start herfin on the "Smoke Me" that PB threw in there. After that I'll try to sort out some P's & T's. It's gonna be very difficult, but very fun. :)
 
FatherT, I hope you enjoyed the smoke me bro, that is one of my all time favorites. Tho I doubt you will have any trouble figuring out what it is, I have very little doubt that it was a joy to smoke. Have fun with the pass man, this is no ordinary Cigar Pass!!

Mike does put on a great party, doesn't he?
 
I did in fact enjoy it PB but I did have a bit of trouble identifying it at first. I think I know what it is, though. What threw me was that it had a chocolatey smell that made me think it was an ISOM. Here are my thoughts...in no particular order. :)

The cigar is a pyramid, but has a distictive shape. Instead of having a constant taper from head to foot, It had a gradual taper from the foot to near the band and from there the taper increases slightly down to the pointed head. The wrapper was creamy brown like cafe-au-lait. It was firm and had a dense bunch. Clipped cleanly, pre-light draw was nice & firm, but not stiff. No distictive flavors are noted. The cigar smoked well, good burn and draw. The flavors were smooth and integrated but not overly complex. The main component was a creamy nuttiness, but there was also a slight grassy flavor that I think will fade with some age. Overall a solid cigar that I enjoyed. My guess: Monte #2 (domestic).

Woo-hoo, it's almost here!

Ok, just to make sure I understand correctly...

* Part of the box is a normal old box pass -- puts, takes just like normal.
* There'll be an envelope/baggie/shoebox with a single cigar in it from Benjeiv marked "smoke me", I should take it, smoke & review it (and try to guess what it is -- ha! [1]) ASAP and then put in one for HBooker.
* There is also a baggie with MANY "mystery cigar"s in it, and I should take out... uh... one? A couple? Smoke, review & guess, then replace it/them.

Do I have it right?

[1] I'm fairly new to the cigar hobby. Been smoking 1/mo for decades, but only started really paying attention, smoking ~1/day and "doing all that humidor/hobby stuff" for a few months. On top of that, I've been smoking a wide variety of singles, so have very little experience smoking 2 or 3 of the same cigar. Me guessing the brand of a particular cigar is a shot in the dark. Heck, I might have trouble even if you left the band on! :p
 
You've got it right, but don't worry, Mike has thoughtfully included a full set of instructions with the pass.
 
well it certainly wasn't a plain old pass..LOL!

Misc.. the instructions are kinda clear, the main purpose or this pass was simple. To get some of the guys here to smoke a cigar that they normally wouldn't get a chance to.
That is the main thing behind the unbanded portion of the pass.

If you have doubts simply contact me when your turn is on you.

And it shouldn't be too far away either!
