Two words----New YorkI'd love to see some of these wimps deal with the liberals and COL (cost of living) that we do here in the Golden State

My buddy in So-Cal has the one Wurm listed...he loves it.
Oh - this one is what I have (along with an electric 220 shop heater ) in my garage.
The Mr Heater Big Buddy takes the chill out..and has a fan. It's great for closed areas...the other one is probably a better radiant heater for a deck or balcony
Anyone else find it enjoyable to smoke in the car, heater on, while its parked in the driveway... ???
Yeah, I thought it sounded crazy too... then I tried it. Despite the occaisonal eye from the neighbor, like you are doing something illegal, its pretty damn practical.

edited to add... TOB-RO... Why are you shouting? ???
That's exactly the type of heater I was suggesting. They have other models that even have battery operated fans so you can direct the heat. They are very compact and do a great job. The cylinders last about 7 hours in mine running at full blast on a February day in the fishing shack (we're talking below zero temps). You could probably get through the whole "winter" in SoCal with a six pack of cylinders. For a small area, I'd think something like this would be the bomb.
I still think you're a weenie, though.......
Cheers - B.B.S.

cold... in southern California... um...
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!
Note the 'white stuff' on the ground... I wish I had your 'cold temperatures' young buck!!
Might I suggest a firepit? The heaters are so blah and no fun. Nothing like the snap crackle and pop of real wood burning. I'm getting one myself, to ward off the SUB ZERO temps I have to deal with in Alaska...
Welcome to CP by the way
If only it was only liberals. Too bad I gotta put up with the worst of them all, conservatives.... I'd love to see some of these wimps deal with the liberals
If you get the one with a fan you can direct the heat your way. It's the same catalytic heating process, but the fan makes it more suitable for balcony use. That's exactly the type of heater I was suggesting. Only problem I see: "Provides comfortable warmth whether indoors or in a tent" - he's on a porch, right?....they make these too for golf carts...with adapters to fit in the cup holders...Too Funny!
