OK, officially entering the contest but not the pass.

My girls names are Schatzi on the left and Edelweiss on the right. Schatzi was named because we waited so long to get a swissy that she really was out 'little treasure'. Edelweiss we named when we went to visit her at 5 weeks old at the breeders. During the trip we picked her out and she had a lot of white on her head so she was our little 'white flower'. I also the think the (ex)wife just got through watching the Sound of Music.

And one thing... I know everyone is all generous and chit, but the tupperdore the sticks are in is the container it will be traveling to Iraq in, so keep that in mind with any 2-fer-1's and 'extra' puts!

minimal contest entries!!!! I'm not extending it again - my wifely unit© is disappointed. She's heard me blab on about how much fun this group is.... how involved we all are here... yada yada yada. Now she thinks I'm full of it (I am, but I'm not telling HER that)

When Keith reports having the pass in hand, the contest ends... no exceptions this time.

My daughter "helped" deliver all our lambs this winter, and named all the bums. She was really into The Wizard of Oz at the time, so they all got named after characters from that. This is the one that she took to the 4H fair and showed. Her name is Dorothy.

This is my daughter again with her blue border collie. We got pulled over on the way back from picking her up, so her name is Radar.

Sorry Swissy, I've been busy with my two legged animals.

This is Pal, his oficial name is Lake Carol Anne's Pal. He is a 2 1/2 year old German Shorthair of very fine breeding. I grew up with pointing dogs, and haven't owned one since about '92 when I put my Brittney down. My wife and I have a Bernese that she had when I met her, and we both prefer larger dogs. So, secretly wanting a hunting dog, I began looking to see what quality pointing dog I could get that would fill the "large" dog requirement. My father had recently bought a Brittney from a trainer here in Colorado, and last January was out here visiting us and wanted to meet the trainer. Without thinking, I interupted my father while he was setting up the meeting and asked him if the guy had a shorthair for sale. Low and behold, that was the only dog he had for sale. I of course told my wife, Anne, that his name being Anne's Pal was fate. :whistling:

Well, long story short, that's a hell of a lot more than I ever thought I would spend on a dog. My wife's new favorite comment is, " I better be eating a hell of a lot of pheasant." The Dog is still very puppy, and quite a bit more high strung than he was preported to be, but he sleeps on my wife every night. I guess he knows where his bread is really buttered.

I've got the pass. All sticks look good after inspection. Midas loves his treats, he had not had any of those before. He walked around with it in his mouth for 15min before chewing. Those flavored rawhides must be dog gold.
