Puff-Puff Pass

Pass arrived today. Everything looks great! Scot and I will get together soon and do our P&Ts and will PM Robert for approval. Should get this back out tomorrow.

OK, just did inventory. Some sticks were not numbered correctly so I will fix that before I send it back out. However we do have a bigger problem. #14 (HdM Edicion Limitada '03) and #38 (San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe 10/03) are both MISSING.

According to the list in the box and the updated list in this thread they should both be here as they have not been marked as taken. I can replace another ISOM for the San Cristobal but have nothing to replace the HdM Edicion Limitada. Who was the last person to see these two sticks present and accounted for? Scott1966, did you do an inventory before you sent this out?

I just did my put/takes - I did not do an inventory for all of the sticks. I wasn' able to use the floppy disc either.

Randy was the last to post taking inventory, and as far as I know he was the only one to say anything about doing an inventory. At his stop on the pass, everything was there.

The hoyo was unbanded.

Question Jim, what was mislabeled?

OK, thanks for the information. It should be standard practice to check the inventory and numbering when the pass gets to you (for those who didn't).

There is only one unbanded cigar in the box - #77 (Robusto en Tercio).

I would say about 3-4 sticks had the wrong number on them. #60 - VSG Enchantment, #64 - Carlos Torano, #54 - La Vieja, and #63 - Cohiba Edicion Limitada (if I remember correctly). I've got them all correctly labeled now.

Scot is coming over tonight and we will do our puts and takes. I will update the spreadsheet and print out a new copy for the box. Also, I will put a Montecristo #2 (2004) to replace the missing San Cristobal. Sorry I can't help with the HdM Edicion Limitada - I have nothing to even trade for it were it here.

Jim,

Appreciate the gesture, but not necessary at all man

Jim, PM received/sent

Have you seen this smoke :sign:
hdmel035vt.jpg

BTW, did we ever figure out where the orange peel come from?

On a serious note guys,
One smoke disappearing from a pass.....possibly accidental. 2 smokes gone....probably not an accident. If this was an accident, right about now would be a great time to speak up. If this wasn't an accident, the guilty party know's who he is. And let me just give you something to think about. I'm not going to waste a lot of time and energy bitching or pointing fingers because I invited all you guys and obviously thought you were trustworthy BOTLs. All I'm asking you is to think about the other guys in the pass. Everyone in here up to this point will all be known as someone who participated in a pass where a couple of sticks came up missing. Not fair to them :angry2:

The orange peel was in the box when I got it. I seriously thought it was put in there as a means of humidification - so I left it alone. I thought it was like the piece of apple humidification technique I've seen people talk about.

As far as the smoke you have pictured - I do not remember that being in the box when I got it. I, unfortunately, did not do an inventory when I got it. I looked at the sticks, and traded out for the ones I was interested in (except, of course, for the Sublime ;) ). I have learned a lesson, though - in the future I will be inverntorying the contents (and encourage everyone to do so as well) just before I send it on so I can spot if anything is missing, and also make sure that something doesn't accidentally get left out on my end.

As far as the missing sticks - certainly BD should not be left hanging. And I don't think MrJingles should be replacing them out of his stash, although that's an incredible gesture.

BD - I'd suspect, from the people that are in this pass it was NOT stolen - I can't even imagine that (call me niave, but there are a great group of members in this pass). I'm thinking someone must have accidentally left them out... I'd encourage everyone to check over their stash to see if it inadvertently was left out of the pass.

If they're still not found, I'd be willing to send out a smoke or two to BD to cover the loss, and would encourage others to do so as well... Just a thought

Appreciate the gesture Dub-G, but like I told Jim, not necessary.

Maybe someone can post an anonymous review on the HDM :p

Sory to hear about the missing sticks :(
Another thing that really helps out is , when you post your p & t
be sure your puts have a number and make sure they match the number you put on the cigar. If you just put up a list of five cigars with no numbers , if they are out of order then the numbers will be wrong when the host updates his list.

Randy

Good point there. But I make sure right after you guys have your P/Ts posted that I not only update the original spreadsheet on the 1st page, but I also let everyone know it's posted.

Now, how bout that orange peel

Just received PM from BD approving these P&Ts. Let me know if any of you have any problems with these before 10:00 am EST tomorrow.

TOP + 1

P/T spreadsheet updated by Jim/Scot...thanks guys!
Also, great plays there both of you.

I don't remember any orange in it.
Sorry to hear about the missing smokes.
My limited memory can only recall the little HdM that I took. (OK -but party shorts are better IMHO)

OK...turns out one of our pass members took some pictures of the pass, prior to his P/Ts. It does show the sticks were there as of a week ago. Please take another look in your humi's to see if they were inadvertently left out. If you find them, please PM me and that will be the end of it.

Below are 2 of the 3 pictures I received. Pic #1 shows the Hoyo EL and Pic #2 shows 3 SC EPs.

Let's get this straightened out and put to rest.

Yup, there they are. Great idea of someone to take the picture

BTW, there was no orange peel that I remember but then again I also forgot to number my baggies DOH!

Hey, BD. Just wanted to say thanks for letting me in on this pass. It's been a blast. Don't worry, I'm not going away, either. Want to see how the pass plays out. There are some really nice sticks in there. Thanks again.

Can't wait to try that SCdH El Principe. Been hearing good things about them.

The orange peel was all shriveled up and looked like one of the packing peanuts, only a slightly different color. It may have been easily missed.

I'm guessing BD or Ree dropped part of their dinner in the box and the AZ heat just dried it up before it hit CA.
