Poker Pass

Worry not bros,
just picked up the pass from the P.O. a few minutes ago.

Whenever the campus PO gets something they tend to wait a day or two before actually telling us it's here. [for example, while i have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal, it tends to come every few days with all past issues at the same time.]

Just got back from a lecture and am pawin thru the pass as we speak.

And Gonz, def not knockin hanging out sometime and smokin a few. My time is not my time at the moment, or for the next week or so. Sad to say I have no nights or weekends.

Glad to see you back in action  .
I can appreciate the fact that you are busy with school and all, but if you have time to be logging on to other boards you have time to to give a quick response at least one of the PMs Gonz sent you. :angry2: I would expect at least that much common courtesy.

I can imagine the last couple days must have been real tough, since a conference is being held on campus, therefore there are no classes! So I especially understand how all that homework and studying can be piling up right now?

Actually, for those wondering, I went to the same school as Mike, and I can tell you for a fact that these last couple days are about one thing, partying. There's no classes being held, so what else is there to do? If I remember right, greek rush is going on as well, so there's another reason to be partying. Seeing as Mike's a senior (I believe), he wouldn't actually be rushing a frat, so if he's in one, his involvement is purely voluntary, just like his decision not to take 20 or 30 minutes to do his puts and takes, and get this thing back on the road.

Just my $0.02.

Let's go bud, get this thing going. The rest of us have hectic lives as well, but we managed to either get it done, or opt out of joining a pass in the first place if we knew we'd be too busy.

Okay, my tentative Ps/Ts

For those not familiar with the Nobel Conference
http://www.gustavus.edu/events/nobel/2005/

My school is the only place outside of Stockholm, Sweden, where an official Nobel conference can be held. Every year we invite Nobel prize winners from around the globe to come and give talks on any number of topics. For instance, this year the topis was Einstein. 100 years after he published 4 seminal papers in physics. Speakers came here from as far away as South Africa, and as close as M.I.T.

The conference runs from 9 a.m., with lectures ending around 4pm.
[as a rule, 8am business classes are not cancelled] After lectures, there are small group discussions, a new symphony [commissioned each year], as well as various other events.

This has been going on for 41 years, and with any luck, 41 more.
In the future, if anyone is interested in tickets, one can simply call the school to get some.

T: 40. RyJ Belicoso (ISOM) P: LC-Smoker

Looks good to me.

Edited for the following reason:

I apologize for my newbishness and lazyiness. It has been brought to my attention by someone else in the pass that your P/Ts are somewhat inequitable.
This is the info that was passed on to me:

T: 11. Camacho Liberty Amendment XII 280/20 = $14 (Holts)
P: PAN 64 Superior (not finding these online right now, but I have generally seen the PAM Superior go for around $8-10)

T: 40. RyJ Belicoso (ISOM) P: LC-Smoker 262.95/25 = $10.50
P: Partagas De Lux (ISOM) 1998 68.95/10 = $6.90 (+ something for age)

T: 61. RyJ Exhibicion No. 4 (May 05)(ISOM)P: Gonz 219.95/25 = $8.80
P: Trinidad Reyes (ISOM) 180.95/24 =$7.54

If you could make some adjustments that would be great. :)

Personally I don't have a problem with the Liberty/Pan because I know I only paid $10 for it.

Any comments/feedback from others in the pass would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Swifty has brought it to my attention that my plays need some work! I apologize, and will make some adjustments right away.

Please, don't be afraid to contact me personally though, i won't take any offense to it!

edit: Damn, I didnt realize the RyJ Belis were $10!!! Say what does everyone use to gauge value? I was always told never use retail, use MSRP.

Anyhow after digging through my humi, the only sticks I have above $10 are non cubans. And those that are, I have 1 of and havent tried yet!

So I will remove my 2 plays for the RyJs :(, and switch my play on the Camacho.

T: Camacho Liberty P: Opus #4

Poker Bag: AF Cuban Beli

Envelope #1

Sorry for the inconvenience of my plays. It's been a long weekend, I lost my grandmother sat, and today my best friend moved out to cali...and it might snow this week.

Let me know if anyone has issues with this. 80% of the sticks in the pass look greek to me, so if anyone has recommendations for my PAN 64 Sup or my Partagas DeLux, please, let me know.

its been fun!

My other option is to leave the PAN Superior for the Camacho (Swifty said he doesnt mind due the original price paid for for the Camacho), and play the Opus for the Beli. Its an ISON/Non-ISOM play which is a no-no, but let me know.

I usually try and compare the two cigars (the take and the put) at two different retailers. Meaning I find the two at the same online store and compare prices, then I try and find both again at another site, and compare prices again. I don't like to compare the price at one site for one cigar and then the price for the other cigar at some other site, since retailers tend to get better deals or mark up cigars for different reasons.

Also, I be sure to compare the same price category i.e. singles vs. singles or box price vs. box price. The box price for one cigar vs. the singles price for another is not even in the same ballpark.

Good luck!

I got some feedback from Scot and I talked with Dave (since he is the last to get the pass before me) and I'm cool with you just making a change on the
T: 40. RyJ Belicoso (ISOM)
P: Partagas De Lux (ISOM) 1998

Don't sweat the rest. Let's get this movin' on towards home and find out who wins the poker pot.
