Tom we're a step ahead of you. We're trying to work a deal with a B&M thats about 5 miles from the strip. It seems that Saturday nights are slow for him. His store can accomodate 45 comfortably. His per head suggeste price is high, but I think we can work with it. He is 1st generation Cuban American and owns an interest in a Cuban restauraunt. If we get too big for his shop, we would have room there as a backup. Rod is going out later this month to check it out.

The only drawback to either of these choices is transportation. Its not an expensive cab ride, but its still a cab ride. I imagine cabbies on the strip get used to short rides, but that sure pisses them off elsewhere.

I put a call in on the Castle, but it's managed by someone else now. So, an email is inbound to them for verification on smoking.

They said if we reserved the balcony at the Harley Davidson Cafe we could smoke up there. Might be an option if they still allow smoking there anyway.
 
I'm up here (Vegas) right now. Checking out a place tomorrow. If someone can let me know if the Harley Davidson Cafe is still willing to allow us to smoke in their balcony, I'll go there tomorrow as well. Thanks.

OK fellas,
I have located a local bar/restaurant that will support our needs. The Roadrunner has a few locations around town. The closest to the strip is a straight 8 mile west drive on Flamingo Rd. This is the newest loaction for them also. This property has a large OUTDOOR patio with BAR available to us. We can utilize their catering menu and setup for the number of peeps attending or each order their own food. Bar is staffed with bartenders already - NO extra fee - we can run a tab - or each pay as u go. They will give us the outdoor patio for FREE and will easily handle 100 peeps. Weather this time of year is warm - hot.

I am still trying to work something out with Green Valley Ranch. My connection there is telling me they would require peeps to stay there for us to attempt setting this up. Problem with GVR is it is way off the strip.
