I did not ask Shadow or Bacchus to vouch for me. While grateful, I wish they hadn't. I've tried to pick my spots carefully, choosing a pass with apparent newbies and "mixed bag" as opposed to high-end. My thinking was that other newbies would be more solicitous towards another newbie. Where was the warmth and welcome that should be a hallmark of every cigar board? Acceptance should be given freely. Making people jump through hoops first is elitism.

blair, whether intentional or not, your post reeked of that elitism......and Lumberg, you pompous, arrogant fool, what we do on other boards does matter. It's why we are so careful with our reputations. It is my fervent wish that both of you receive a healthy dose of "goodwill toward men" this Christmas.

<sigh> For me, the fun has been taken out of this pass. You gents carry on and enjoy yourselves.

A guy walks into a forum, hails himself as a FOG, demands immediate acceptance, and pleads offended when asked to properly introduce himself. He has the indecency to reject the vouch of our respected members and goes further by throwing a tantrum of childish insults. "Careful with our reputations"? You? Please. How utterly classless! :angry:

Knowing a few facts about cigars has nothing to do with being a gentleman.

The sooner the better! Let's keep those postal workers busy! Some POs are open on Sundays for the holidays, which may help keep this one moving!

Backslide, I would really love to have you join but I cannot on the same grounds that I turned down others...
No offense ... but you really should (at the very least) introduce yourself to the group before trying to get into a pass ... Also, your profile is blank. You might want to start by filling it out. This helps people get a feel for your cigar likes/dislikes, hobbies, etc. Introduce yourself, do a trade or two, chat!, and then get in on a pass. There are always great passes available to join, so don't worry about that!

It really wouldn't be fair. Also, I was hoping to cap the pass off at 15 people and I already have 16.

Otherwise, Welcome to CP. Chat, trade, and get in on some box splits (if you want to do a box split or trade PM me. I'd love to.) :D

Go to the lobby post a Hi how are U my name is, do a trade or two. Then come and join a pass. That way everyone will know who you are and not have any problems sending you thier gars!
