OPFTH (Cigars for the Troops)

22 boxes left today for the troops. Thanks to the C.A.T. fund raiser and cigar donations and all the items that came in this month. The funds helped us ship to EVERYONE on our list in the last 2 shipments.

Details of who got them can be found at the OpFTH forum in the unit section.

this trip alone: 22 boxs - $330 shipping cost = a MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

:)

After attending a very artful and touching presentation of the Nativity featuring our very own sonovabum as Joseph. I came home to a ginormous box of cigars donated by the participants of The Jonesy Pretty Penny Pass. Brothers, this thing is really amazing! I was pulling out bag after bag after bag of some great smokes. Wonderful job gentlemen!

I just wanted to take the time to thank all of the passers that supported this project. Someone down range is going to have a very merry Christmas indeed.

This time of year more than any other is hard on not only soldiers but the families as well. Receiving this kind of support helps out the family members as much as it raises the spirits of the Soldier. Just knowing that there are fine and wonderful people like you guys makes the sacrifice worth it. It was my honor to be able to watch as this unfolded, and I am deeply touched.

From one soldier, for them all

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Tim

Just so recognition is given where it is rightfully due, NorcalMark made the biggest donation of the cigars that are on their way to the guys and gals in Iraq.

Very nice.

A special kudos to you Brian #2 (Jonesy), you ran a great pass, many giveaway's and to top it, a wonderful package for the troops.

The bar has been set in this instant, as far as passes are concerned.

Brian

With our Brother Sgt “Lurch” leaving today for deployment, I thought it a perfect day to share a letter written by my son. He had an assignment in English to write a letter to a soldier. A copy of this letter is now included with every OpFTH shipment from the Texas Station.

Dear Soldier,

I just want to take a moment to thank you for giving up a portion of your life and freedom to protect my right to a life of freedom. I don’t know you, but in a way, you know me. You see, I represent all of the men, women, and children that you fight every day to protect. When you’re hot, thirsty, tired, scared, and running from bullets, it’s so that I don’t have to. Every brave, heroic, beautiful friend that you lose to the enemy is taking my place. Every bullet you fire is to prevent a bullet from being fired at me. The hot, painful, harsh days that you constantly endure are shielding me from a life of hate and oppression. I am the silent face that you fight so dearly to defend. I thank you with all of my heart for taking the fight over there, so that I may live a life of peace.

The next time that you grip your rifle, heart thumping against your chest, sweat rolling down your face, and you stare death in the eye, remember me. Remember me, because I appreciate you, and because I will never forget you.

Be safe and fight valiantly hero.

Your silent face,

Matthew Beach

Yeah, that’s my boy.
