i would have felt a bit guilty if i sent only a box of nine so i filled the empty slot with that opus. hope the guys (and gals?) enjoy them.

i started sorting cigars for next weeks shipments

and I know a Lt Col that is going to love that odd one in the box. I will pput a note to pass the others to his men but keep that one for himself.

250 troop sticks lost to beetles


I was preparing to send a shipment to the troops from the Texas Station when I noticed tobacco dust in one of the gallon size zip locs, then I noticed several sticks with critter sized holes, then I saw the culprits scurrying between sticks. I checked all of the bags and it was a total loss. I’m just heartsick.

Donations have been down at the shop so I’d been storing them in a cooler in unzipped baggies until I could send them. From now on all donated sticks will be kept quarantined in closed bags until sent.

pictures? that would make a great beetles picture explaination and ID.

Its a tough break, but bound to happen every once in a while. The good you have done far out shines a little set back.

Thanks again to everyone at OpFTH.

I have divided up the loot, and spread the wealth to about 5 units here at my FOB.

This has been a great experience for me, and my fellow deployed BOTL, but at this time I ask to be removed from future shipments, as I will be home in November.

anyone want this cool OpFTH decal? as shown its affixed to a tinted window at the office here.

looks great on windows or dark color car. it is not a magnet or clingy type that blows off in the car wash. this is semi permanent. it can be removed with some elbow greese :)
