I say for the herf we let the ladies all get together and find their own things to do. I know Alex's women and mine will be somewhere together.

Alex's "women" HOLY CRAP how many does he have? If he can spare a few I'd love to hear about it!

The ladies/wives can all just go shopping at the mall right there on the strip, or any of the newer large casinos like Venetian, Bellagio etc.

Is anyone else finding that rooms/flights are mad expensive right now? For just me to fly and stay 3 nights I'm looking at about $600 at a 2 star hotel! What happened to all the great deals that are supposed to be out there?

GOnz where are you staying?

Let me know.

I get offers monthly from casinos for cheaper rates.(mandalay bay, bellagio, luxor, imperial palace, harrahs, paris)

I have not received any for the month of May yet. As soon as I do I can forward them to you.

Hey alex, hale says you got lots of women!

How many we talkin' about here? ???

I can trade ya some nice cigars if you can spare one or two. ;)

LOL!! dont tell my woman.. I dont think she would like that.. :D

Hey,
provided I get the time off (one day down, one to go) I'd appreciate any info on the lower room rates, if someone gets those offers? Not having been to Vegas before, not sure where to stay. I'm sure the Strip is more spendy, but might be kinda fun for a first timer?

And if the Wifely Unit© makes it as well, there's no way in hell she's going to let me go 'off with the boys'... she's heard too much about the Vegas strip clubs (Oh yeah baby!! I'm in! ) but she is NOT a shopper.. she'd rather hang and drink with the boys and smoke a cigar or two. And I KNOW she'll be brushing up on her dirty jokes...

Anyways, any info would be great... not sure if we'll get a car (not if I can help it...) but a nice hotel to 'treat the babe' might not be a bad thing... :whistling:

Here's hoping I get that last day off!

EDIT: Oh yeah... I'm sick of seafood... any GREAT steak houses in Vegas? I mean a STEAK house... rather limited up here! I want a huge, THICK bastard that I can cut with a spoon...

Swissy.
I recommend staying on the strip. Such a fun time.

Also I will forward you any room offers I get. So you can use the coupon codes.

Same goes for anyone else who needs cheaper lodging.. :D

Also if you want to go eat some steak.

We are going to Delmonico steakhouse on friday. You guys or anyone else is welcome to come. (probably doing a late dinner 10pm ish)
This is my favorite steak place in Vegas.
It is Emeril's place. Its pricey but well worth it.

Steak Houses in Vegas are a dime a dozen. They are everywhere. crack open any magazine in vegas and you will see.

These are places I have heard/eaten at that are worth the trip.

Del Frisco's
Ruth Chris Steak House (2 locations off the strip)
Morton's of Chicago (1 location of the strip)
Smith and Wolensky (on the strip)
N9NE (at the palms)
Voodoo lounge (at the rio)
Chalrie Palmer (at the four seasons)
The Range (at harrahs)

Alex, you said its your favorite in vegas? I though Delmonico was your favorite period.

I'm still waiting for you to tell me about Alex's "women" that I asked about in a previous post.

How many women does he have? ???

Ya also forgot to capitalize "Vegas" and "thought" has a "t" on the end.

Reading your posts is painful to say the least.....

Swissy-
My personal favorite on the strip is the Flamingo. Completely remodeled a few years back, rooms are nice, and it's relatively inexpensive for the Strip. Great location right in the heart of the Strip.

Next up are the Mirage, Treasure Island and Caesar's Palace, still nice, a little older and not as expensive and still centrally located.

High end are Bellagio, Paris, Venetian (and I'm sure Wynn, although I haven't been there since this opened). Really nice, and you pay for it.

Personally, and this is just MHO, I stay away from the Luxor, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Mandelay Bay and MGM. Way down at the end of the strip and everything is a cab ride (although Mandelay Bay and MGM are nice.)

Would not recommend Imperial Palace, especially if this is your first time there and you're with the wife.

No experience with the Aladdin.

Have fun, great play town.

From personal experience, both the the Ruth's Chris' in Vegas are horrible. I've eaten at about 10 others around the country and they were the worst by far.

Not that I'm even going, yet, but Del Frisco's is worth the trip, as well as Lawry's. I actually never made it to the Delmonicos, but I'm sure it's really great. We only live in Vegas for a year and we're poor as hell so we didn't get to all the places we wanted. And the one's we did were because Pharm reps were paying for it!

The Aladdin is being remodeled by the Planet Hollywood people. My nephew stayed there and got a great rate last month. The TI(old Treasure Island) usually has good rates. Just off the strip, we have the new Hooters(old San Remo), by the Tropicana. Not sure your wife would like that though, lol. Many steakhouses, just pick one. They're all good.

You missed the apostrophe in "it's" which by the way is the wrong word to use in the first place. You were talking about multiple posts when you said "them" therefore you should have said "If they're so painful then ignore them." Actually, it's highly unlikely that you know the difference between "they're, their and there" so this little conundrum would have probably given you a headache had you the mental capacity to even get this far.

Hale when you post like a low grade moron I'm not the only one who notices. You really should try and clean up your act or you will continue to not be taken very seriously. ;)

CC what do YOU contribute to this thread? For someone who complains as much as you do about pointless threads, you seem to have a fascination for directing them off topic. If you are ABLE to come to the herf, please join us. If you're not ABLE, then feel free to allow the rest of us to utilize this thread for what it was intended.

Hey jerkoff, please find where I "complain(s) as much as (I) do about pointless threads." ???

Your reading comprehension skills rival that of gtphale.

Please don't whine like this, it's very unbecoming.....

Is this really necessary? If there is bad blood between you and another member, please settle it OFF of this thread and through email.

Good news guys.

I have 2 vendors/sponsors that have already pledged some things to raffle off for the herf. Still waiting on others.

I want to personally thank the vendors/sponsors for generously stepping up.

Hopefully more of you guys are able to accomodate this trip into your busy schedules!! The more the merrier!

No "bad blood" at all. Just about every one of his posts contain spelling and gramatical errors which many people feel make the board look bad. When I try and convince people to join this community and they see people make posts that look they're written by six year olds, it doesn't make the board look very good. As someone who has a great deal of time invested in this place and strive for it to maintain it's level of integrity, I feel it necessary to point these types of things out.

If hale doesn't like being criticized for being wrong, he should stop being wrong and not come back with snotty-assed posts.
