Newbie Training Cigar Pass-- For February 07-

I had one this weekend. It reminded me of the HDM Dark Sumatra. It was a good stick, but I prefer the Gurkha Anniversario perfecto to the Brigade. That is one of my favorite Gurkhas. Maybe I should drop one of those in too....

Quade

Quade, thank you for your generosity. Telling you guys not to drop in extra sticks doesn't work because of the generosity of this place. It is what makes CP so special. Again, thanks for the sticks and for being part of the pass!!

Next one in the gate is Mmburtch.

Let us know if you are ready!! We are all drooling over the cigars!! :)

I had one of the anny perfectos a week ago? well, whatever the last day at my old apartment was and found it a lil bland... maybe it was the 40 mph winds or the police officer pestering me that i had stuffed it w/ 2 oz of pot... maybe i'll give it another shot when its not as windy out. I think mine had atleast 4 m/o of age on it?
That must be one giant cigar! So, now that's two mystery sticks gone, right? So, if the third one doesn't make it all the way, are we going to find out what they were?

Tomthirtysix,

There is a bright side if the mystery stick does not make it to you and that is there are some fine smokes people are replacing it with. I think you are going to have a hard time figuring out what to take as I know I would. We will post what the mystery stick is if it does not make it to you. :(

Hey, strange things can happen on a cigar pass with these wild guys!!! :whistling:

Oh, I know... I see the sticks they're trading for them, and I know they must be great. With the quality of the sticks they're replacing them with, I won't be disappointed if the last one doesn't make it to me (which I am already assuming it won't). Just more curious than anything.

Hey all!! Here's the update. We have had absolute nasty weather in WI. Sleet, snow, rain. The triple crown of Wisconsin winter.

First off, the pass is in great shape. The box was almost solid tape on the outside!!! The humidity and slush/sleet, was soaked up by the box. It felt like mush, when I picked it up. After sitting inside and drying out, it is in good shape. I had a bunch of other boxes I was trying to work with (I save all my bubble wrap and boxes also), I think I will just add another to the outside of this box and let it roll

Paperwork is in good order. Cigars are very nice  Hate to see 'em go. So, here are my proposals. Hopefully I can get an amen and send it out tomorrow. If anyone calls shinanagens, I will just pull that trade and still ship tomorrow.

Take: 51. DCM #2 (P: Smellysell) @ $12, Put 57. Graycliff Professionale PGX @ $12
Take: 53. ESG Robusto @ $17.50, Put 58. Tatuaje RC 184 @ $20
Take: 44. Mystery cigar ????, Put 59. La Aurora Preferido Saphire Tubo @ $15
Put: 60. Gurkha Royal Brigade (just got them in!!)
Put: 61. Don Lino Africa Duma

SJM, you'll have to let me know your thoughts on the Mystery Stick. I couldn't find a MSRP, but got a few prices that seemed to match up with the La Aurora. If that is a BS trade, let me know.

Consider this warning, Mmburtch! Toss out a post saying you are ready, bro!!

Quade

We should be getting a DC number today if Satchmo does not get buried in by the weather. It can get brutal in that north country this time of year!! We are standing by.

SJM, are ISOM allowed in our passy? Well..... if they are reputable? *points at RC*, I don't think I've got a cigar even remotely close to that MSRP thats NC

Sorry, boyz. Did get the DC number out sooner.

Matt, here it is:

0306 03030 0000 3555 3307

Thanks again. I'm really going to enjoy the Taboada.....

Quade

Hey Quade, when did this thing fly? I couldn't get tracking info, not that that surprises me.

Proposed takes:

5. Gurkha Perfecto, #1 put RyJ Reserva Real #2
57. Graycliff Professionale PGX put DCM Churchill #2
Must have a look at that mystery stick. Will put something lovely in its place.

Looks good to me. When you get a look see at the package just let us know what your final selection is. The R&J RR is a good smoke, but all of them are pretty descent!!

Good hypothetical question about the ISOMs. I know of course you are kidding!! :whistling: I know we are all law abiding citizens here and do not own and would not use Cuban products outlawed by the United States. Since your question was only hypothetical in nature, the hypothetical answer would be yes. Of course it would only be an hypothetical put for a take. I hope that this hypothetically answers your hypothetical question.

I live in Mexico, land of the brave! Here, we smoke fauxhibas and montekristoes.

Do you know what makes this pass a newbie pass?? Besides most of us being newbies the thing that really distinguishes this thread from the FOG cigar pass threads is the lack of BS posted here. Since those guys and gals have known each other for awhile they are really slinging the brown stuff while waiting for the pass to arrive.
For instance, one of the FOG passes in progress posted this. A Horse is a Horse, of course, unless it is in the Tour de France??

In light of this feel free to post any BS you feel worth sharing while the pass moves.

All right, to increase the BS level here I am going to post a contest. The first one to post their answer closest to 9:00 pm (2100 hrs) after the hour today, Wednesday, 07 Mar 2007 will win a three pack of dog rockets!!

The question is: (drum roll please)!!

What is the exponent of the reduced Planck's constant in electron volts*second units??

One guess and only pass members can play. Also, I am the judge and my answer cannot be challenged. The contest ends at midnight today. Good luck and let the games begin!!
