Newbie Training Cigar Pass-- For February 07-

Dang storm held me up today, package will go out tomorrow Sorry for the delay) Only 4" but bulloux things up enough so I couldnt get it out of work in time to get to the post office. Dang thing wont fit in the mailbox!!!

I'm going to be out of pocket most the day Saturday. If I recieve the pass on Friday, we should be set. If it shows on Saturday, it won't go until Monday. Shouldn't be a huge deal. I'll have the neighbor watch my door on Saturday so it doesn't sit out all day in the crappy WI weather.

Hey Guys,


i had a pretty nasty spill on my motorcycle this morning; someone ran me out of the lane i was in... into traffic clipped a car and tackled another car, Good thing i was wearing my helmet. I walked away with nothing more than possibly cracked ribs and a few cuts on my legs. Unfortunatly due to financial issues i am going to have to bow out of this pass. Please keep me in mind for the next pass in the future if you need another noob to tag along.

The pass showed up today. It was trashed (box only). We have had sleet/snow/rain all day and the box is drench and falling apart. Cigars look fine. I will try to find another box to put it in. Extra moisture should not hurt the cigars, right?

I am glad the box was only trashed and the sticks were ok. They were all in baggies so they should have been ok. Thanks for finding a new box for them. There is a lesson here for all of us. All of us should expect that the box might need replacing and be prepared to know where to get a replacement.

On another note, did the address and pass list survive? Everyone will need it to know who and where to make the next pass to. While you have it, could you please scratch off Poronico's name. Unfortunately, we will loose our BOTL in this pass due to an unfortunate accident. We miss you brother!! Get better quick!!

USPS may have some boxes but I usually go to a box place or get some from friends that are more durable. The box that started this pass was a box that I got from Famous Cigars on a large delivery. I save an assortment of boxes from my cigar deliveries for special occassions like passes. They are made out of thicker cardboard.

I just want to point out the obvious here. It was NorCalCigarLover that repacked the mess he received from me. Who knows how the cigars would have arrived if he did not correct it. Thanks man. Hey all!! Here's the update. We have had absolute nasty weather in WI. Sleet, snow, rain. The triple crown of Wisconsin winter.

First off, the pass is in great shape. The box was almost solid tape on the outside!!! The humidity and slush/sleet, was soaked up by the box. It felt like mush, when I picked it up. After sitting inside and drying out, it is in good shape. I had a bunch of other boxes I was trying to work with (I save all my bubble wrap and boxes also), I think I will just add another to the outside of this box and let it roll

Paperwork is in good order. Cigars are very nice :thumbs: Hate to see 'em go. So, here are my proposals. Hopefully I can get an amen and send it out tomorrow. If anyone calls shinanagens, I will just pull that trade and still ship tomorrow.

I had one this weekend. It reminded me of the HDM Dark Sumatra. It was a good stick, but I prefer the Gurkha Anniversario perfecto to the Brigade. That is one of my favorite Gurkhas. Maybe I should drop one of those in too....

I had one of the anny perfectos a week ago? well, whatever the last day at my old apartment was and found it a lil bland... maybe it was the 40 mph winds or the police officer pestering me that i had stuffed it w/ 2 oz of pot... maybe i'll give it another shot when its not as windy out. That is some weather you have been having up there. It is a good reason to enjoy that mystery cigar. After the pass if over, let us know what you think of it.
