New to Cigar Pass - Introduction

OK, here is a quick list of 4 that cover the 4 main types, any and all are really good. I would sugeest that you find a bar or two or three that has these and try some shots before you buy a bottle.

1. Sweet - Balvenie 12yo DoubleWood or Glenfiddich 12
2. Sherry - Dalmore 12yo or Macallan 12
3. Peaty - Talisker 10yo or Ardbeg 10yo
4. Smokey - Glenfiddich - Caoran Reserve 12yo

Smokey is really hard to find in the price range you want so you can skip that for now. This should get you started.

So how many bottles did you run out and buy over the weekend?

None. :( My local cigar retailer had 3 boxes of AF Anejos in three sizes at MSRP with no limit so my Scotch and Cigar budget is shot for the month (I wish I had found CP before that so I could have shared the wealth - next time). Plus, I am in a Newbie trade which took up the rest of my budget. I'll pick up a bottle next month (not sure what, I want to try those you mentioned first).

Shameless bump of my Introduction thread for my 50th post here at CP. It's been great so far (except for that ill-conceived Top this Trade idea :whistling: ) and I look forward to getting to know everyone here even more. Thanks for all the great advice!
