If you found bigfoot in the woods he would make YOU dead, so something more powerful than bigfoot obviously defeated him in single combat it might have been an alien or perhaps a JESUS RAPTOR LIZARD but, man, it makes you think doesn't it?

And yes it's a check. Check is dated August 28, 2008

Am I the only one to catch this?? How easy is it for someone to get caught in a shitstorm, BACKDATE a check to when it was supposed to be sent, and then send it USPS? I know the Postal Service has it's faults, but I find it very convenient that they "lost" his check for 2 weeks and then it miraculously shows up while this thread is in full defense mode? Seems that Rod sent his check out 2 days ago and will be claiming that it's the P.O.'s fault that Mike didn't recieve it in a timely manner and then he pulls a bullshit post blaming us for flaming him. Also, I haven't seen him address eshaw99's accusation of welching on a deal last year? While everyone is backpeddling on what they initially said in their posts before Mike got the check, I say enough already....show this focker the door!

Have to agree here. From what was posted I saw a history of bad deals, and deals that had nothing at all to do with cigars. Sorry but if your an asshat with anything, your an asshat and should be dealt with as such. It just reflects bad on us as a whole.

That said, I am glad the check came and apparantly was cashed without any issues (or so it seems). However, I think some other apologys and explanations are in order. Its not too much to ask, considering the circumstances. And if it is, well lets swing the hammer and move on.

You guys are beating a dead horse. The deal was finally completed and now it's over. I wasted 15 minutes reading all this crap and learned nothing. Now it's my turn to whack at the bloody pulp.

The guys you deal with a regular basis or see posting on a regular basis have enough vested in their online reputation to be 95% of the time upstanding...if you are selling something to them, go ahead and send your end to them first if you feel like it. Chances are that they will be on-time or at the very least keep you comprised of any situation that might arise that would make them late.

IF they are someone like me, been on for a few years and contribute sporadically and shows up to the dance a day late - better make sure you ask for a check first. It won't hurt my feelings. There isn't any unwritten rule that says you have to trust EVERYONE on cigarpass, just trust your own intuition.

I'm trading with him right now, and here's my take on the whole thing.

He's sending his end first. If he's interested in reforming and rebuilding his reputation, he's going to turn over a new leaf and make everything aboveboard. It looks like he's doing just that. Good on him.

My opinion on the piling on might be a little heartless. It's unfair to the INDIVIDUAL, because this might just be a one-time thing and you get crucified. It's very definitely fair to the COMMUNITY, because this is an example of how we collectively state and uphold our values, what we're willing to stand for and what we're not. So I'm in favor of it.

The "piling on" as you call it, took place when, even though he was given ample time, he never responded when asked to do so.

Fortunately for him and his trades, he hasn't done anything wrong and it's all good. Just not sure why he didn't speak up immediately and thereby avoid this long thread.

Lobsterman from Mars is a great movie, not quite as good as Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity but right up there with the best.
