Fine by me!!!! I got lotsa Tupperware at my house, a Wal-Mart five minutes down the road (just in case), one of those LARGE rural mail box (no way any package can't fit in THAT) some extra boxes, a variety of packaging tape and TONS of cigars so I'm all set. I'll do this baby justice!!!!

Since I'm going to be tied up for the next few days, I already mailed it this afternoon so Harold, it's on the way to you. Then when I got home from the post office, I found the tin of Jose Marti Cuba Libre's on my table so I'll have to add #36 to my takes which WAS NOT included on the new sheet I put in the box (I redid the puts/takes sheet so if you want me to email an Excel version to you, just let me know since if your handwriting is as bad as mine, you may want to enter your puts and takes on a spreadsheet instead of by hand). I

It was pointed out to me by my past postmaster last year that since September 11, 2001, the postal service does have a policy to not letting people reuse cardboard boxes for reshipping. However, this policy does not appear to be universally enforced (since I received reused boxes in the mail quite often!) but just to be on the safe side, I covered all my bases and turned the box inside out.

I added a second tupperware container which hopefully will give us some extra room but with the generosity of the players here, I'd bet that we'll need more or larger tupperware as we go along.

I wished I could have played in the ISOM or rare category but I'm fresh out of anything like that at the moment.

Hey Ric,

Well, my computer seems to be all set (thanks to the good folks at DWFComputers aka GreatComputerService) but now my ISP is not letting anyone in Connecticut hook up to the internet today (I won't mention any particular company [RCN] or anything). So I had to hook up to the internet today with another account to get on line and keep abreast of the pass.

My former Postmaster (now retired) always made sure to tell me the "latest" goings on with the USPS but as I mentioned, it doesn't look like most of them are following that rule or if it even is still in force at this point but I figured just to be on the safe side...............

Another thing the USPS takes a dim view of is when people use the Priority Mail boxes for regular first class (which saves a heck of a lot on postage) by turning them inside out in order to just pay the regular per ounce fee which can be considerably cheaper than the base $3.85 Priority Mail fee which is kind of a rip off in my opinion. Again, I receive them in the mail inside out quite a bit but if the USPS really wanted to stick by the rules, they'd kick those back to the sender. I have seen others turn them inside out then wrap them in brown paper which works well for sending lightweight items (gee, like CIGARS maybe?)

Again, I'm sorry for the screw up where I forgot to put the Jose Marti tin back in. I hope you and your bud will be happy with the box once it returns to Florida (I think you will be!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I sent an email to Snakeeyezzes letting him know I'd forward the spreadsheet to him if he wants to keep the list nice and neat.

Now, I gotta find time in the next day or two for one of those 1066's which look extra NICE for a maduro fan like me.

This ought to be a good example of just excatly how fast the USPS delivers alledged "Priority Mail" I just checked the DC number and no progress since Monday. My bet is Snakeeyezzes gets it on Friday. We'll see.....................
 
BTW,

Merlin was reduced to ashes today, VERY NICE cigar!!! The Onyx is next on my "To smoke" list.

I got the box today. I will post puts and takes later on. I won't be able to make it to the PO tommarow because of work. So I will throw it in the cooler for the weekend and get it out first thing monday morning.

I don't mean to be a prick but can I get a ruling on the puts and takes. I know the Padron 1926 are extremely rare and I don't know much about the puts so I can't tell but I don't recognize anything as being equivalent. Can one of the veterans help me out here. Again, I don't mean to be a jerk about it I honestly don't know those brands.
 
I sorta agree, ricmac. If you just go on price alone, the 1926 is (I think) somewhere in the $12-15 range. None of the puts come anywhere near that. Then if you throw in the rarity factor it's even more lopsided. Sorry, Snake, don't take it personally but I think you need to pony up if you're going to pull that 1926.
 
Sorry about that guys I wasn't even thinking of the rarity factor. I still have the address for the next person so I will grab a box and first thing tommarow I will throw... HMMM 2 Opus X in there 1 petite corona and 1 churchill. I hope that makes it right and I'm sorry for the mistake.
