Way ahead of ya, brother! ;) use the redfish and the seafood magic like it was salt and pepper! put it on damn near everything...

Blue Dragon (visiting), Peter's Creek and I got together last night for a fish fry (Halibut, Salmon and Scallops!), beer/Whiskey drinkning and of course a cigar or two. Used the seafood magic- on everything!
Yums all around!

Yes, I was lucky enough to taste a little of Swissy's bounty. Right after dinner I headed over and checked out what seasoning was used. That is the first time I have had any fish w/ the Paul Prudhomme spices; it was mighty tasty! jcpyro, you are in for a treat; the salmon was awesome.

Jim sure did treat me right on this trip! We met for a cigar at a bar downtown, Bernie's Bungalow; one of the very few places you can still smoke a cigar in public in Anchorage. We BSed, had a few beers, and enjoyed a stogie. During those conversations we talked about everything from how we started smoking cigars, our favorite cigars, what we liked about cigars, and what we still would like to try. The topics like work, sports, music, etc, didn't really enter into the realm of conversation. Fishing, hunting, dogs, the wife and cigars....

So then he takes this information and uses it against me. We met up the next night to head up to Peter's Creek's house for dinner. He picked me up, and I saw a flash of a cigar label we were talking about the night before, the perdomo reserve maduro la tradicion red label. "Hey that's the cigar we were talking about last night that you said you liked." Swissy: "Yea that has started to become one of my standard smokes." .... "Since I saw you pokin around, I might as well give this to you now. Welcome to CP." DAMN DUDE!!! My jaw hit the floor. I was like a kid in the candy store, all giddy inside. All the smokes in there were ones we had talked about the night before. I couldn't believe it.

So we get to Peter's Creek's house and meet his wife and dog. We sat around and talked for awhile about dogs, pictures, cigars, and food. For dinner we had salmon, halibut, scallops, salmon spread, bruschetta, and chicken pasta salad with an Alaskan Amber to top it off. That was one hell of a meal I won't forget for a long time! And Peter's Creek was nice enough to let me try some scotch. I was always curious, but don't think that will be my drink. So then Peter's Creek comes out to the kitchen w/ a baggie full of cigars, "Here's a little bomb for ya." Wow ... people in Alaska are sure friendly. So we went into the garage, lit up a smoke, I tried the scotch, and we talked about hunting, guns, cigars, and guns.

I have to say, this has been a great trip (outside of the working part). Both Swissy and Peter's Creek were very welcoming and generous. I smoked the Perdomo at the Great Alaskan Bush Company w/ an Alaksan Amber and was thanking Swissy for introducing me to Alaska.

So everyone - Send Jim good karma thoughts for his moose hunt on Monday!!! :)
You ROCK!

Thanks,
- C

Swissy has been more than generous in this contest. Due to my residence in one of the hottest states, he was kind enough to hold onto the fish until it got a little cooler here in AZ.

Well it finally got cool enough and I received the package yesterday and the fish look wonderful. I was only able to try the salmon spread last night and swissy let me tell you when this tub runs out I'm coming up there and raiding your fridge. I cannot wait to try the filets and different recipes.

Again I wanted to say thank you again to Jim, you are a true BOTL and a gentleman of the highest class.

To all, I will post up some reviews and cigar choices as I try the different variations. :D
