Man Cave

Everything looks great. And even though I am far from being hands on my only concern is the insulation in the walls. If that’s any kind of fiber like material if that gets stale smoke it will never leave. Not sure if foam is an option but might be a better solution 🤷‍♂️

Man cave looks pretty cool! I’m afraid my “boss” might make me stick a cot in there or something lol.

I am not a fan of foam. I know the advantages of it, but there are other disadvantages that I don’t care for either. TBH, it’s a long shot that I will get to smoke in there anyways. But I can dream…

Finished insulation last night and finished tying in the HVAC supply to the room. I am contracting out the drywall, not something I care to do. Plus I have a guy I have used for years during my house flipping days and for what he charges me, it’s not worth my time to attempt it.

Good point!

@TexasTraveler Aaron, as Dan pointed out, it will be important to seal off the insulation well. I think as long as you finish the drywall or whatever the wall covering is, and paint it, you will be fine. Even if you seal it, moving air through the room will be sufficient.

Another worthwhile investment would be an ozone generator. Mine cleans my man cave of "all" smells overnight. I have a 10X16 man cave, I put a fan in a window at one end which is sealed off by memory foam so it doesn't suck in cold air. At the other end, there is a door into the house and I took out two glass panels so that the air is being exchanged by the fan. If we really smoke it up, I will crack a window in the house so that the fan can exchange more air.

When I am done, I turn on my ozone generator, which is at ceiling level in the middle, close the door, and when I come down in the morning the man cave smells fresh as a daisy.

Why do I get the feeling someone tried to pee in that pipe!?!
It wasn't someone, it was everyone. Eventually it became a contest to see who could overflow it.

A friend who frequented my cabin got up one morning and decided to pick up the 200 beer cans in the yard and half way through he stopped and when I asked why, he said because he just realized that everybody pissed all over the place and he was probably picking up piss covered cans. He insisted I put up a designated pee spot. That pipe, with the sign that said "Pee here" was the temporary until I installed a urinal on a tree with a garden hose attached.
