Lost Cutter #6

I keep my Xikar and Palio on top of my big humidor. When I need to smoke a cigar, I usually precut it.
The Palio has been out maybe once or twice, on the golf course but always stays in my pockets.
Sorry about your loss friend. Hopefully it turns up soon.

I lost one of my decent cutters for a couple of weeks, so when I got it back I attached it to my lighter with a key chain thing (like dog tag chain). It worked, and after a couple of months of not losing it I took it apart and have been vigilant ever since. I did a similar thing with my keys a few years back, as I was misplacing them 2-3 times a week; I now have one place for them near the door and for awhile the ring was loaded with all kinds of crap so you couldn't possibly misplace them. Try attaching your lighter, or better yet something big & bulky that couldn't walk away or make anybody want to help its' escape. ;)

You need to see a cutter psychologist. Six in one year, you have serious issues.

Seriously dude, what the heck!?!? You need to get a necklace around your neck with your cutter on it!

CRKT makes some quality legal knives. I hope that one is not modified to act as a switch blade!! :whistling: I dig their smaller push open ones, and I use them often for cutting cigar heads right off, leaving the filler perfectly untouched.

SO far I have lost.

2 Xikar multitools
2 Xikar X1
6 cheapo guillotine cutters
2 punches
1 v-cutter.

So dont feel bad!
Get a double appointment with the cutter Psychologist Alex, you may get a better rate

I can't bring myself to buy a really nice cutter yet. (have a $10 B&M special right now). I figured it wasn't cool to have a cutter thats worth more then all the cigars in my humi combined!!!

I've lost one or two, more than likely misplaced in several moves and cars, but all have been cheap so I haven't worried.

I constantly lose-and-find my cutters - it's an issue. (That's why I didn't buy the Xikar, Rod). Fortunately, only a few have been lost outright, but most are scattered throughout the house, in jacket pockets, in drawers, on shelves ...

That blade is not modified; it's actually designed that way and still opens from the side.

Oh, I am aware that they open like that, I have a few CRKT knives. I was referring to the fact that many CRKT knives have been modified to include a spring inside the design, which turns it into a "automatic blade" or switchblade, which, to my knowledge, are illegal in most states. I could be wrong about the legality. Many websites simply buy official CRKT knives and convert them into switchblades by adding a spring, making them fully automatic and no longer "assisted" opened blades.

Not to derail the thread, lol.

I thought I was the only one to keep losing my cutter. I make a habit to put it back in the case near my small humidor and don't take it out of the house....go figure. Luckily it usually ends up under the couch cusions. Good call on the keychain attachment.

I just found my good cheap lighter that was missing for 3 weeks. It was a nice day today, very sunny. After work I went out for some food and threw on a pair of shorts and my lighter was in them. Now only if it was a $20 or $50...

"Betty," or as I call it "The Skullcrusher," is a damn good knife. If you sharpen it right, your caps will come off quicker that a Xikar cut.

I use the cutting method that Infinity taught me where you basically score the wrapper, take the little cap off, and enjoy your stogie. Turst me, before I met him, I was cutting like a 1/4 to 1/2 inches off the top!

But CRKT makes some quality knives. So Ryan, since you live down the road from CRKT, do you get knives at wholesale there?? :whistling: :whistling:
