So I lost another cutter. This time the wife is mad lol this time I lost my Palio cutter last I knew I had it with me at poker night last Saturday. This is the 6th cutter I have lost this year. The first two were lost to the river. Cutting cigars while waist deep in water is not recommended (I now pre cut my fly fishing cigars before going in the water). Another one grew legs at the last BBQ on my smoking deck. I left one on my desk at work to never been seen again. And another one is in the abyss my wife calls my fly tying table well that was where it was last seen. And then another one gets lost at poker night. The problem is before they have all been el cheapo cutters and well this time it was not cheap and well it was a birthday present from my wife.
So am I alone in my misery of loosing cutters I am about to buy a ten pack of cheap ass cutters so that way I am not out any more money. I can’t be the only one loosing these things. rp

Actually since buying my Xikar I keep finding my old cheapo cutters everywhere. In my truck in Kim's truck and just about everywhere else around the house. I think I actually have more cutters in my lounge than a B&M.

Sounds like differnt kind of bomb might have to go out. :whistling:

I have never lost a cutter or a lighter. However, my wife has no problem taking my cutters and lighters and never returning them. At least she knows not to take the good stuff.

That really sucks. I lost my first Palio and it still hurts. Now I have another and I will NOT lose this one! If you're really worried, go buy a Havana Cutter for $10 and it will last you 10 years. Provided you don't lose it ;)

I don't tend to lose cutters which is great because I love my Palio. I am bad about losing lighters, though. That's why I buy cheap butane lighters instead of $75 Colibris and stuff cuz that can get expensive.

I still have my first XIkar from some years back.

I have never lost a tool, always been lucky that way I suppose.

I didn't really lose one, but just as bad.
I am teaching my son how to cook, and if most people don't know in south Louisiana the men are the cooks. Don't get me wrong the women cook good but we tend to make bigger and better. We do alot of outdoor cooking wether its a bbq, fish fry, or a seafood boil. Well anyway my son and I are making a feast for some friends and I start with the rack of ribeyes and brisket, his job was to cut the veggies.
I cut and light my cigar, then started preparing the meet. The next thing I know I look back at my son to see how he's doing. I see perfectly chopped celery and carrots and in his hand was the last carrot and in the other hand my cutter! He said it worked really good and he wanted one. Just have to laugh and give the kid a hug!!

I haven't lost any cutters.... yet. However, if you do the ol' circumcise cut, even a cheap single blade or knife will do just fine. Only issue is with a beli or torp and have to cut through the cap.

I've misplaced one for awhile. Wound up being my cat knocking it behind the couch while playing with it. Other than that no.

I'll lose one, buy a new one, find the last one, lose both of those buy another new one find the other 2...the cycle continues...theres a black hole, like where the socks go!

You need to see a cutter psychologist. Six in one year, you have serious issues.

I have a desk drawer where my cutter(s) and lighter(s) live. I try to be good about always returning them to the same spot, and son of a gun, that's where they usually are.

When I go on the road, what saves my bacon (and cutters, and lighters) was the purchase of small leather pouches that I tied onto my Otterbox(s). Just the right size for the cutter and lighter....

Yep, in your case, I'm thinking it's time for a lanyard. You know, like the one you use to keep your line cutters from falling into chest deep water...

Hell yeah Brian I need counseling

I stopped taking my cutters fishing Burtch I just pre cutt now

and souldog until I get a new cutters my CRKT is doing all the cutting work that and I work right up the road from them rp

I haven't lost a cutter, but I broke the one I had awhile back. The scissors I have for paper work.....though not well, and it pains me everytime I use them lol.

I did lose something, however, and it sucks. A couple of weeks ago my buddy got married in vegas and I stood up in the wedding. He bought all of the groomsmans gifts, and since we all smoke cigars or cigarettes, he got us all Zippo Blu lighters with our initials engraved on it. I had it for about 10 hours I would say before I lost it. :( Better than that, it was the only torch lighter I had so I'm back to my old soft flame zippo or the bic I light the grill with.

After the wedding reception we all went to The Bank, where he got us a VIP table. It was fun, I smoked a cigar...lit by my new torch lighter...and I swear I kept that thing in my hand in my pocket all night long so I would not lose it. Near the end of the night by buddy was wasted, so we took him back to the hotel. On the way we grabbed a limo to take us back $25 or something it cost and I think it was in there that it came out of my pocket and I lost it.

Haven't told him yet....didn't want to ruin his wedding bliss lol. I was just thinking of buying a new oen and having it engraved after this last paycheck....but a $250 comprehensive claim on my car has eaten any spending money I might have had....I hate it when oncoming cars shear off their lugnuts and fly into my car and windshield....and all because I wanted to take my kids to the apple orchard!!

I've heard bad things come in 3's. I'm still adding up my bad things, but I'm not sure how they string together? Suffice to say, I think losing 6 cutters would make sense...two strings of 3, right?

Here's to hoping you don't lose anymore! :)
