Wow, now we're really starting to get somewhere. I think of the latest offerings, I like the middle left one. I'm not sure if it would look any better, but what about making the text black with a thicker font? If it's not already bold, perhaps just bolding what's there. Whatdya think?

Dave ;)

Passed it along to her...

You keep saying "her". Is she the cute Asian girl holding your 18 incher? :0

Dave :p

No, that's my girlfriend. :)

(btw, I've been waiting my entire life for someone to ask me who the cute girl holding my 18 incher is. ;) )

You are getting some great stuff there Dave, I like the last set too

Andrew, you and your friend are awesome   well played!

Alright Dave, here are some refinements. I'm afraid this will probably have to be the last set we can get you, both my friend and I are getting a little burnt out on this. So pick from one of the many logos we've presented to ya, if you like any of them, including this final round of revisions (some with bolder fonts, some not):

We have a winner!

Both Carrie & I like the lower right. Nice bold black text with colored circuit board blocks.

Can I get a nice big crisp copy of it?

Anyone else have an opinion?

Dave ;)

What, like these?

...and in blue too...

But seriously, I'll be sending you both logos (black and blue) as EPS files, so they will scale up or down clearly to any size, and you can give them to lbrief for the final insertion into the ad.

My vote is for that one.....
(Picture removed cause it was too big, but I mean the Last one bottom right with Black letters)
Hands down, I love it

and you can make that hidden "H" part of your persona as "Hardware Frank" :D

I like the first one. Any chance you could get the dfwcomputers domain though? It would seem to be a stronger and easier to remember name to search for. JMHO.

Agreed completely.

Great Googily Moogily! Frank does some NICE work.

Check out the latest versions of the ad. Any opinions?

Ad 1
Ad 2
Ad 3
Ad 4

Dave :D
I'd go with Ad1 or Ad2 if you're going to print it in color (which one depends on whether you want the letters in your logo to be b/w or color -- once you pick one or the other, stick with it for everything you do, IMHO).

He did a nice job cleaning it up, and matching the colors with the gradient. It looks nice and professional to me -- like that he's using euro-style .'s for the phone number too.

Please note that you asked about DFWComputers.com - that is NOT the name of my business, it's DWF Computers. David William Frank. And actually, I already own www.dwfcomputers.com
It points to the same domain. I started with http://www.dwfcomputers.com but got tired of explaining it like
"That's D-W-F, my initials, NOT DFW, the airport. And it's computerS - plural, dot com". I just got tired of constantly explaining it and eventually bought www.greatcomputerservice.com - It's easier to remember, and catchier. Don't feel bad about getting the name wrong, my own father still occasionally asks how DFW Computers is doing. Sure he helped pick out my name, but I think the airport letters have been more well known for a long time.

www.dfwcomputers.com is currently for sale for $1,000.00 I don't think I'll be purchasing it anytime soon.

I hadn't even noticed that. Hey Frank, any particular reason you used .'s instead of -'s?

They look cooler. :) We used them too.

I like them in the order you have them. #1 is #1, #2 is #2 and so on. Very nice looking. I'd do business with you. OH wait, I already do :p

Dave,

Agree that all are fantastic - since you asked...

I think for the phone book (yellow pages) I'd go with number 3. I stated before I liked the b&w with a color logo. I think the quality of print in a phonebook won't do the color ads justice and may blur the fine print a little with a colored background. The B&W says, "Here's a classy business to deal with, but it's still cutting edge - just look at my color logo that jumps out in your face." And it does - and it'll be remembered because the logo contrasts highly with B&W.

For company brochures and white paper/stock printing I think #1 rocks.

Just my 2cents
