It's an acquired taste. Sea water and TCP would be good tasting notes.
 
So I had the neck pour from the Skye a little while back. Bit more mellow then the first bottle. Mind I've moved into cask strength and other spirits since the first bottle a couple years ago, so maybe palate has changed a bit.

. If you're an Laphroaig fan it's closer to that then the meaty sweet smoke of an Ardbeg.

How the hell is it that much? I just checked a local place's website and its $34/L for the blanco.

American liquor (besides classic Jack and beam) is expensive here.

Not seen crested in the shops. Just the standard and occasionally the stout version.
