Latest Cigar Box Project

Here I sit bored to tears at work...

I was going to jump into this flame war with both feet... and then I remembered I can legally drink beer at work in Germany so I went and got a lager out of the beer machine.

Carry on gentlemen :)

WOW thats awesome!!!!

I hope you're kidding about xcopy. An image would be much faster.

Yep and when I'm done with the 398 GIGABYTES I have to X-Copy from the old server to the new... I have a Ashton's VSG with me to smoke.

:)

It would however these are Terastations and a image won't work. Its ok though... I'm on my second brew, Faith No More is filling my office with tunes, and I just took a break to smoke my VSG, and I'm making overtime for doing this.

And I'm 2/3rds of the way finished. :)

If they're remote servers and both on a high speed network and running UNIX/LINUX, use rsync. I just did this. :)

They run on OX, the problem is that one is AD enabled and the other isn't. Buffalo makes nice NAS stations, they are just a PITA to move data back and forth to.

What the hell are you all talking about? If you don't mind, we were busy here arguing about cigar box lamps and respect. Go take your crazy talk somewhere else! :sign:

Ack! So you are drinking beer, smoking cigars and handling data!? Please tell me you are not in charge of the missile program. Reminds me of a reoccurring dream of opening the paper and seeing the headline " DOD has switched to all Microsoft products and Bill G. vows all the nukes are safe"

edit: Crap, just realized I have stumbled upon a 6 month old thread. Sorry.
