Very nice work brother!
It's not for sale, but yes, threaded rod, washers and nuts hold all the boxes together. How much would you charge for that?
How is it all held together, did you use a hollow threaded rod to fasten all the pieces together?
Certainly if I don't fall under the same scrutiny as I did with the clocks. The only issue I see is if you'd want it done with the tube on top. That is the only Cohiba Siglo VI tube I had, but any could be used, however, shipping somewhat scares me with that tube up there sitting so vulnerable. Securing everything on the allthread was somewhat difficult as you couldn't really tighten to much for fear of crushing the tube. Without the tube, I think it'd be much easier and easier to ship, but then again, anything worth doing..... :thumbs:It's not for sale, but yes, threaded rod, washers and nuts hold all the boxes together. How much would you charge for that?

Would you consider making these like you did the clocks, and if so how much?
Yep,What's the bottom box? Masterpiece?
So Opus Mex contacted me a couple days ago asking if he could commission me on a project for him. Funny thing is, Linda and I were just talking about the same thing so of course I said I'd give it a go. In the meantime, I got anxious to give it a try so I did one for myself while waiting for his special boxes to come in.
So I present the new cigar box lamp! I debated on how many bands to put on the shade, and am really happy with how it came out.

As I was looking at about 80 empty cigar boxes in my basement and digging for a certain one, I rifled through them and in the midst of it, noticed I was stacking a pile of them. Then it dawned on me, hmmmm, lamp! So, I bought $15 worth of lamp parts, $7 of which I didn't use and can return and wala, a cigar box lamp!

......so why change the story for what inspired the finished project? Just seems kinda odd to me. Carry on...From: The Volusianator

If you're really that interested in it mmm, the part where I said "Linda and I were just talking about the same thing" was before Opus Mex contacted me, so it's really not that odd at all. I guess the only odd thing is that he contacted me not long after we had already been discussing it. Thanks for the permission to carry on though, I'd have been concerned if I hadn't got your approval!......so why change the story for what inspired the finished project? Just seems kinda odd to me.
