I'm still waiting for my Xikar sheath in the mail. I have an Xi3 Casa Fuente edition that I love. Although, I have a Palio and man is that thing super nice!

Got my Xikar and sticks today, very quick shipping. :thumbs:

Only issue is the cutter seems to have a slight hitch almost like it is catching on something when closing hopefully some use will fix this. Any others have this issue?

I got a blue one couple of months back with the same issue. I contacted customer service and sent it back. They returned it within a week and working perfectly.

The sheaths are on back order, I was told another week or two from customer service.

I tried the Alec Bradley and good grief! What a horrible cigar.

I think the taste did not fit my profile, but it might yours. Apparently some people like it. The search function can find it.

What I did like about the cigar is it made me appreciate more the good cigars that I do have in my possession.
In other words, when I choose a cigar from my humidor, I should stop whining and just select one. I should be happy with what I have.

Smoked the Tempus...basically had no personality at all. Not something I would do again.

The CAO's not bad - I've had precisely 1 CX2, and while it wasn't especially strong (mild-medium if you ask me) it did have nice flavor to it. On the other hand, I think that I was three sheets to the wind that night, so take it with a grain of salt.

I think that CAO's discontinuing the CX2 this year ... mmm, CX2 on clearance ...

If you guys are having any troubles with your Xikars, don't hesitate to contact them and send them back. Aside from the excellent performance, what sets Xikar (and Palio from what I've heard) apart from the others is the flawless customer service.

I bought a blue handle Xikar some years ago as my first quality cutter. Added a Palio to see what they were all about. One thing that you have to do with either is occasionally clean the oils off them that accumulate on the blades. I picked up a box of "alcohol wipes" from the drug store which I use for cleaning circuit boards and electronic stuff I work on. Turns out they are just about perfect for cleaning the goop off the cutting edge of your cutters as well. Clean them good, dry off and you'll be surprised how much better your cutter works. I try to clean both mine every couple of months or so.

Correction...

CX2 has not been closed out nor will you see a clearance anytime soon. It is now Famous Smoke Shop exclusive.

I just had the Cx2. And it was not bad at all. The flavor of the Camaroon times 2 was evident but not strong. The question is, how much
am I winning to pay for one?
