Good luck with that cutter - I'd love to hear if they've cleaned up that line (the blue and red) - the same ones they've offered occasionally elsewhere with cigar packages.

I picked up a similar deal from Cbid a while back. Mine was a piece of garbage. I sent it back 3 times because the spring kept breaking (Xikar will replace it - no questions asked). After having to hassle with throwing the thing in the mail, I ended up just tossing it out after if broke the last time...

However - I love the cutter and I took a chance on the Xikar's from the Cohiba gift packs a few years ago - those have been solid as can be. Not a single malfunction, and as sharp as when I picked them up.

I'm told the reds and blues may have been manufactured at a different place than the regular line. Not sure if it's true, but it sure seems my Cohiba cutters came from some other place...

BTW - don't know if you know this. If you go to the Xikar website and register your cutter, they will send you a nice leather sheath for it. ----> Xikar cutter Warranty registration
